Perfect example of the Broncos in 1991, so much promise but so much inconsistency, they dropped too many games they should have won early and left their run too late costing them a finals apperance. Broncos were red hot on this night with plenty of tries racked up including 4 from the Pearl!

That season was a real missed opportunity .. the broncos beat Canberra twice, beat Penrith and trounced Norths late in the year en route to finishing the season with five straight wins .. they finished 13-9 which wasn’t enough to make the top 5 as it was back then.. they left a lot on the table that year and even Wayne Bennett admitted that 91’ side had premiership potential that went unfulfilled.. of course, over the ensuing off season they added Glen Lazarus and it was lights out for the next two seasons
