Broncos Vs. Raiders - Build Up Thread

But the inability of the Broncos to be motivated and committed to play for eachother the last 2 seasons is alarming.

I don't think it's a matter of playing for one another. He's gotten them to do it in the past (eg. Round 9 vs. Melbourne - Round 21 vs. Dragons, back end of 2009). However what is alarming are these collections of big scores. I don't think more points have ever been scored against a Broncos team in the past. He really needs to work on our d next year if we're any hope of taking out the premiership and sending Locky out a winner.

We wont beat the Raiders, and i personally wouldnt want to finish 8th and get smashed by WB and his Dragons.

Well we beat them in round 26 last season, and they beat us 22-14 in round 2 this season.

Before that it was the 56-0 drubbing that sparked our revival last year [icon_lol1.

Give the new fella Gagai a go. Love to see him play. Nothing to lose. Winters is leaving and has really contributed SFA in terms of impact which we need.

Yeah, Sims is leaving but at least I thought he did really well before Henhouse took a dislike to him, and he was part of a winning formula when he played - winning meaning up the middle where it counts, not waiting on the wing for the ball which apparently isn't ever there.

Throwing Gagai in this late in the season in a struggling team in a must win game could be a big mistake IMO. It's a risk I wouldn't take.

I don't see it as a risk at all, Gagai is the future why not give him a run.

That will put us on -10 and the Raiders on -11.

This is all if the Rabbitohs don't win.

if we beat the Raiders by 15 points next Friday then we will have a -10 differentials with the Raiders at -11 thus giving us the final spot in the 8 if the Dragons beat Souths. to do that though i would say we desperately need Locky on that field.

SO to make the finals this year we need:

1. Dragons to beat Rabbitohs by any margin.
2. Broncos beat Raiders by 15 points or more

That's more like it Foordy, still a big ask but not impossible. But watch out for Reece Robinson who scored 4 tries tonite which is as many as he scored in a full season with the Broncos. What is with these former Bronco duds going on to play well with opposition sides?eg. Micheals, Robinson, Emmett.

The only way we make the finals is for us to win by more than 15 and St Merge beating the Rabbitohs.
Roosters last game is against Cowboys, that guarantees they won't get flogged and I'm not sure what you mean by Rabbitohs getting annihilated, it won't make a difference as long as they lose. We are out of the 8 and so are the Rabbitohs so the only way to get in is to push the Raiders out.

Sad times, one or two very doable wins in our last 3-4 PATHETIC games and we would have been certainties to make the finals.

I'm a believer in underdogs getting up from time to time but sadly, it will not happen this time. You have to ask yourself, which team could the Broncs, in their current form and without their halves, start favourite over. I'd say, not even Cronulla or the Cows.( even money against redcliffe or logan !! )

The Warriors busted us a new arse which Shillington lahrs Logan and Picker Buttriss will use as a multibay carpark. The boys are bashed, it really is a case of Henjak not building the right blend into his team. Sure, have youth and vigour but it must be backed up by a hardened and mature core. Surely all you could see what was happening. Hell, I pointed out that we were too young in the hard graft section. Where is our 2010 Webcke equivalent. ??
