Broncoasses never fail to piss me off. We were all over you in that game but you come out smelling like roses thanks to the ref.
Can't wait to kick your pompous asses in the finals.

Yeah you were on top but couldn't score a try. Even with the refs help you couldn't win. We get one dodgy call go our way all of a sudden we didn't deserve the win LOLZ. Go jump on another bandwagon! [icon_razz1 [icon_evillaugh

Yep. i think we have found the GCFC's first season ticket holder! By the time the Rogers incident happened the Titans should have been winning by 20, then it wouldn't have mattered. They chucked everything at the Broncs in the first half, had all the possession and field position and all they could come up with was a try from a bomb and a sneaky effort from dummy half. Actually, that was all they came up with the entire game. As for the call, well a professional foul is 10 in the bin as far as I am aware. Could have been worse- it might have been golden boy princey sin-binned and then there would have been calls for a royal commission. As one eyed a Broncos supporter as I am, if the Titans are serious about the premiership, they need to win games like that comfortably. St George would have flogged us IMO.

In the end it was a fortunate win for the Broncasses built on good defence but don't tell me the ref didn't help. You can't honestly tell me that we deserved to loose Matty Rogers for 10. Seconds later you consequently score the leading try.

Don't get to carried away with your win. We will see you in the finals.

No you won't.

Great win, based on a very good defensive effort (too bad about that soft Thompson try) and clinical attack. Weren't it for a few poor options in attack (Te'o FFS [eusa_naugh ) and we would've put 30 on the Tits!
We need to tighten up the ruck defense though, we gave too many meters away, but I gotta give wraps to Nathan Friend and his excellent dummy half game.

Like everyone else, I agree that we look so much better when Hunt gets on the park, but then again let's not forget that he comes in fresh and faces tiring forwards, which makes his job a bit easier. And it's probably a very good strategy from Henjak at this moment.

I normally don't wish any player an injury, but had to smile at that merkin's Bird pain face!

Here's hoping Thaiday and Te'o will recover for next game. Having 9 days rest will help!

Hoffman probably should have had MOM, but can't argue Parker's mention and I probably would throw Locky in the picture too. Sorry, but for me it is Karmichael WHO??? Considering this is Hoffman's first real season, he's better that Khunt was in his first season. And with Gagai in the U20's we have a luxury problem.

We nullified Prince's influence, and probably won the game there. For all you Wallace baggers, Prince is one of the best in the comp and was made to look ordinary tonight. What makes you think that can't happen to Wallace, especially when the opposing team doesn't have Locky to worry about?

I won't point out who made the very soft, ineffective tackle on Thompson...

At least he was there, and shouldn't have been put in that position! Come of it...

I actually think Hoffman is BETTER than Hunt was last year, not at the same stage, he's better than what Hunt was last year. I realise it's a big call but I have been so impressed with him lately, week after week he plays a brilliant game, he's gonna be hot property when he's off contract next(hopefully a while).

His kick returns are just as good, he's much faster(lets be honest K was slow), he actually makes linebreaks! Seriously Hunt as good as he was would rarely make a linebreak or threaten the opposition line with speed, with Hoffman there oppositions forwards are always on alert because they know he can split them easy. He's getting very good at the third man play now and that catch and kick was a sensational piece of skill.

His last line defence is better, Hunt's crappy shoulder charges never worked 1 on 1, Hoffman actually tackles. The only thing Hunt has over Hoffman is play making ability he can put on a try better and has a better short range kicking game(Although haven't seen much of Hoffman yet in that regards but his long range kicks are actually decent).

Hoffman has also been safe as a rock and he's really a special talent, that game when he made two really bad errors most kids would of went into their shell but he turned it around and played an awesome game. Hunt was good no doubt but Hoffman has been outstanding for us in almost every game recently. He would be on a quarter or half of what Hunt was on as well so definitely much better value.

How good was his run back today at full speed, reminded me of K but a lot faster. The only thing that could make this team better is Hodges at left centre, Glenn is doing nothing wrong at all but he doesn't provide any real threat in attack.

We won that game on the back of our defence.

The first 30 minutes of the match was basically a blitzkrieg on our line, but we held strong. Very impressive.

Hoffman was sublime. Sure he does some flashy things and he'll get a heap of credit for that, but it's the little things that make a fullback IMO. His positioning, kick returns, determination, support play, etc were inspiring. Delighted with how he's performing.

Standout forwards for mine were Tronc, Parker and Te'o. All of them got through an absolute mountain of work, when we could have very easily crumbled under the pressure the Titans were dishing out. Good stuff, fellas.

Lockyer as ever was excellent. He just knows how to guide a team around the park, he makes the correct plays at the correct times, and it provided us with a massive boost tonight, having him back in the side.

Parker's kicking has come such a long way over the last few years. Those sideline conversions were vital in keeping all the pressure on the Titans.

I also want to give some credit to Alex Glenn. I reckon he made about three or four try saving tackles out on our left. It's been a problem area for us, but he looked very comfortable out there.

Also agree with Coxy about Hunt. McCullough's service out of dummy half was painstakingly slow tonight. Lockyer and Wallace were put under a lot of unnecessary pressure when kicking because it took about three years for Macca to get the ball to them. Hunt completely changed the game for us, give him a start.

8-)

Uh oh. I think I want Josh Hoffmans babies. That's all I have to say about this game.

+1

I am a huge fan of Hoffman. His kick to Yow Yeh was just magical. I want to make chocolate babies with him.

He's come such a long way in such a short amount of time.

Thinking of Alex Glenn's defence reminds me of the dud who was defending in that position last year. Thank god he's with the team we thrashed tonight, where he belongs.

We definitely missed Sims in the opening minutes. His aggression in both defense and attacking the line was sorely missed. Kenny was good against the Tigers, but offered nothing tonight. Straight swap imo.

The only negative thing about Hoffman is that his third man play needs some work. Other than that, he was amazing.

Does anyone know how bad Folau's injury is?

Also, I am probably going to repeat what everyone has already said about tonight's game, but our defence has won us the game. Titans was pretty much in our own half in the first half and only scored 10 points. I was really happy with our defence tonight.

Other comments:
- I was a fan of Winterstein, but geez, he was pretty poor under the high ball tonight. Hopefully Kemp will replace him.
- Te'o's silly choice of play was so disappointing! He had three players with him and he had to bomb it. [eusa_doh
- Hoffman. He is Legen...wait for it...dary!

When did Folau get injured? [eusa_eh
Are you maybe confused with Te'o?

Either way anyone know how serious Te'o's injury is?

I think that will come with time... remember Hunt took a few years before he had the third man play down pat.

According to Sterlo at the end of the Souffs - Chokers game, Thaiday has a corked thigh and Te'o a strained calf. Both should be alright for next game.

Good, the less injuries at this stage of the season the better.
