Broncos Vs. Titans - Match Thread

The 9 days off will do those two guys the world of good, also good for Lockyer at this point of the campaign.

Lol I think I typed Folau as I was watching him on foxsports news at that time. My bad.

Watching the replay now, the decision to send Rogers to the bin was such a crap one! It was hardly even a penalty and to get 10 for that is crazy. Watching the service from dummy half I honestly don't think Hunt is any faster than McCullough (or if he is it is marginal), tonight's effort for Macca was not helped by the fact in the first half our players were being dominated and it was taking an eternity to play the ball so the whole process was going slowly. As I said I wouldn't be opposed to Henjak swapping them and having Hunt start and see how that pans out.

Haha, you are biased towards Macca because he is in your VNRL team!

You are just jealous because he is helping me carve your team to shreds right now!

We will remain in 4th after the weekends round if:

The Bulldogs and Storm win and the Sea Eagles don't win by more than 15 points

So we'll drop to 6th then when the Roosters beat the Bulldogs, Warriors beat the Storm and Sharks beat Manly :P

Watching the game last night, I thought Rogers used his knees & he came in late to tackle him.

Brilliant gutsy win. I echo everyone's sentiments about Hoffman's play at the back and Lockyer's guidance.

What made the win even more impressive was we did it without Thaiday. I also liked McGuire's aggression and enthusiasm off the bench, he gave away a penalty or two but he really had an impact. If he can continue to play like that, I'd keep him there for the rest of the year.

And Kenny was disappointing last night, either Setu, Sims or Anderson would probably be a better option at the moment.

McGuire did play well. Nice to know (and the players to know) that we do have the likes of Anderson Setu and Sims ready to play. The sin bin does seem a bit harsh but how many of us called PENALTY...10 IN THE BIN!!!!! as soon as we saw it before the ref blew it. Scott Prince was the main culprit with a flop and then laying all over him. I swear that Prince and Friend are such dirty little nigglers, they do it all game and should be penalised more.

Hoffman's defense on the goal line reminded me of billy slater. That uncanny ability to be whever the ball is getting kicked. Getting rid of Norman and putting Hoffman there has been the best decision ever. We are having a real problem making metres in our own half. What's the problem in that department? As much as I'm not a Sims fan, I think we need him and Anderson back. Get rid of Kenny and Dodds/Mcguire.

Why does Fittler scream when talking during the game.

Yeah I cant remember a a game, where I noticed mcguire making the extra effort in everything he did. Really took on the big boppers of the titans in some tackles. Kenny looked very meek in attack. I really like the guy but except for his very last run he wasnt looking for the contact in his runs, which is worrying. Might have been the loose carry earlier in the game that killed his confidence? hopefully but we need him firing if he is supposed to be our forward leader. Id really like to see all our forwards run a little less sideways still.

I noticed McGuire a lot more last night, he also seemed to play more minute than he usually does in the top grade.

of course he did lol, thaiday was injured. he pretty much had to

Yup, plus Te'o went off with about 15 to go, so the Broncos only had 15 men for the end of the game.

McGuire's performance was no surprise to me. He was brilliant when he finally got a run against Souths a few weeks back.

Same. But it's good to see it wasn't just a flash in the pan, he's backed it up with good showings since then as well.
