Broncos vs Titans - Pre & Post Game Discussion

Now lets give the Bullys a good rogering next weekend and build up some momentum coming into the finals baby!!!!

I don't think this Broncos team is capable (ie ruthless enough) of blowing out anyone in this competition .... I think they'll turn up with a soft attitude and labour their way to a win ... maybe 32-24 or something like that ....

. I can honestly say that I have never booed anyone at any game of sport I have ever attended until tonight. You Yellow Maggot!!!

Cummins will be lucky to escape the ground with his life - can't believe how bad that reffing was. Will watch both footy shows on Sunday and shamelessly grin while they tear Cummins a new dot. icon_thumbs_u

I'm becoming more and more suspicious of the way these game are officiated ... it's like watching a basketball match, ie, the team that's trailing gets favoured to ensure a close finish ...

I suspect the integrity of Rugby League is being compromised by the want to ensure "the product" is as exciting as it can be for as long as it can be ...

OK, I'm disgusted with the outcome of this thread.

People KNOW the rules. If there's no Spoiler thread, CREATE ONE.

The two members who were banned, deservedly so. Quite frankly it's disgusting that people have that little consideration for the rules of this forum, but more importantly, for the consideration of Broncos fans in NSW.

The bans of jarro and bond will be temporary on this occasion. But that's the last warning. ANY breach of the spoiler rule by ANY user will result in a ban for the rest of this season.

mmm that try Boyd scored to make it 20 - 14 was beautiful to watch, Wallace long ball to Moon, Moon draws the winger and Boyd scores in the corner

Positives: that despite everything going against us in the first half we fought back strongly in the second half.
Lockyer and Ennis were outstanding. Thaiday and Clinton were strong up front. Hannant and Sims had their strongest games in a while. Carroll, Eastwood and Stagg also did good things in patches. Moon, Kemp and Hunt were great at the back. Hodges...I just don't know what to make of him. He tries hard but he doesn't seem to do anything.

Negatives: Corey Parker. Ben Cummins.

/thread :P

that's all part of the frustration though ... for every well constructed passage of play / set of six / five minutes, there's at least 20 minutes or so of disorganised rabble ... to think that this broncos team can stand toe to toe with the likes of Melbourne or Manly at this stage is SUPREME OPTIMISM ...

with that said, it seems these days that any thread that isnt started by a mod, instantly gets locked.

I think with Hodges when he first came back to Bris he was very much underestimated by the opposition.. now he just gets shut down for the most part. I'd prefer Gasnier over Hodges these days..

At least I got my wish.

Before the game I passed by John Cartwright under the stands.

I said to him "Good luck Johnny, hope you lose".

Thanks footy gods! :P

And Carty's such a good bloke he probably replied "thanks mate" ... [icon_lol1.

He did, because I think he only heard the Good luck and was saying thanks already, just as I was saying hope you lose. LOL

I like him too, but hey, he coaches a bunch of fucktards :P

Not having a go, but doesn't the fact this thread is labeled 'post game discussion' imply that the outcome is going to be mentioned?

Yes, but Rock is perfectly entitled to anticipate that at 8.30pm, the game is still in progress and thus it'd still be pre-game stuff he can see. If he came in at 9.30 or 10pm, his own fault.

I like him too, but hey, he coaches a bunch of **** :P

next season that "bunch of **** " will slightly less **** ... and the season after that they'll be stronger still .... This Gold Coast club is a genuine force in the NRL ... infact, I predict they'll be the benchmark club within five years ... and if anyone doubts that statement, just dig around and get your hands on the blueprint for their Robina "super centre" that's due for completion within a year or two ...

Bah. Facilities don't build culture.

Speaking of cultures, sounds like Lockyer had one growing in his guts before the game. He apparently rang Bennett at midday today saying he probably wouldn't be able to play. Had some injections to settle his nausea and vomiting down and was able to play.

Puts the 83 minute effort in context really doesn't it! Unbelievable!

John Cartwright is capable of developing that kind of culture .... He's on a steep upwards curb in terms of his ability as a coach and commands a tonne of respect from his playing group ...

Michael Searle shouldn't be underestimated as a CEO with serious clout either ....
