Yeah, Michael Searle deserves a lot of credit for what he's done with the Titans to this point.

I think the Titans need to develop more local talent into their first grade side to really challenge. Too many southerners up for a holiday and an opportunity still.

Honestly when was the last time the guys have bounced back after having numerious calls go against them? Most teams would've succumbed to the constant pressure but the boys stood tall. Superb second half and a finish that allowed a true champion to shine.

That's a balancing act for any club in it's first few years though ... They need to be competitive straight off the bat but it's tough to get a good bite on the player market until reputations ect are established ...

If they can't get Shannon Walker up to star status next year, a la Greg Inglis's first full season in 2006, then they'll have missed a golden opportunity.

unfortunately Shannon's attitude is a major handbrake on his development at the moment .... I don't think he has what it takes at this stage ....

Yeah, well unfortunatley for Shannon, he isn't blessed with the same physical attributes as Inglis (ie size and all round skill) ... He's got speed aplenty but guts, work ethic and mongrel remain his achilles heal at this stage ...

ahhhh, 'Walks' is allllllllmost back to full stretch in terms of his running ect ... the scar tissue around his heel looks a lot cleaner than after he first ruptured it ... he's in a good head space nowadays and hopefully, he'll be firing on all cylendars come 2009 ....
