Broncos Vs. Warriors - Match Thread

We had the players to set up the tries in Locky/Wallace and kinda Norman.

but the players who finished those plays got injured.

Utterly pathetic defensive effort.

We may have had some injuries and been tired, but that doesn't excuse some extremely lazy efforts in making tackles.

Disappointed.

I'll paraphrase the last five pages and save newer readers from the tripe.

"Waaaah"
"Told you so"
"Sack Ivan"
"I'm awesome because I told you the pack was too young and small"

Schmix's post above sums up the reality. Brisbane didn't handle the impact of the injuries, but who cares. It's Round 3.

Guys used to playing in 20minute spells where forced to play out most the game. i cant blame some of them for being tired. Would have been nice to put more effort into it yeah for sure and hopefully the coaching staff can work on the fitness side of it a bit more in case this happens again. However some of our forwards put in some massive minutes.

Broncos have serious problems with defending against offloads. I understand that it is hard to defend against, but we just seem to be hopeless at it.

Thats every game's discussion around here. Its a competition on here to see who can put the boot in first.

Give it a rest mate. All you ever seem to do is belittle other people's opinions just because they are negative.

Not everything has to be positive, this is a forum, it allows for discussion from both sides of the fence.

defense? what defense.

Im so glad i didnt go to this game. Lagi needs to jetsetu to somewhere else.

Corey Norman needs to learn positioning skills

Beale needs to put in at least some type of effort in defense

No Show needs to go back to Norths

Im happy to discuss things if it doesn't come off as someone just copying what someone else says for the sake of fitting in.

There are a fair few here who discuss the negatives in a positive way. Just comming on and going "F**K this F**K that, Bruno this Bruno that" makes it look like someone just saw the score and decided they knew what went wrong.

A few of you such as yourself, Gymp, Kempy ect post the negatives in a way we can discuss. then posters like Kaz seem to just post it to fit in or "stand out"

Whoa men. Lets settle. We're all stressed out because our team played like shit, didn't seem to want to be there, didn't seem to have a game plan, and were just, pretty crap. But that's no reason to fight.

I tipped the Warriors to win, and the reason was clear today. At the moment we are playing like a team with no purpose. They didn't seem to know what they were doing, and as soon as two of our key players are off, who cares.

Credit to Gillett and McCullough, they had a good game. Lockyer and Wallace wern't too bad either.

Also, Scott didn't agree with me, but it just seems that Corey Norman is fucking up more often than not. Or is it just me.

I'd like to see Hoffman given a go. Norman hasn't impressed me as much as he's pissed me off with some of his mistakes.

We've been absolutely horrible at shutting down offloads and making effective tackles for quite a number of years now, but it's just going to get exposed deluxe with this young side.

That's our biggest problem on the field IMO, but it's at least something they can work on. Personnel and injuries aren't.

We are far from being one of the better teams in the comp for obvious reasons, but FM if they can just get those one or two aspects of their defense cleaned up a touch, then they can more than hold their own. Unfortunately I can't see much changing.

Chins up for next week though.

I thought he was still going pretty well, but I've watched the last two games on a very dodgy live stream so it can be hard to tell who's who. I've definitely seen him do some impressive things but I may have missed his stuff ups.

lockyer and wallace are kicking like shit. Our defence wasn't the issue, it was our attack in that second half. Kicked it dead twice - two tries to them down the other end was the result. Winterstein knocks on - try against us the result. Our attack is shit house at the moment and creating too much pressure on our defence. Once we gave them enough cheap possession, on a hot day in the second half with two fit players on the bench, they took the momentum and rolled over us.

The main issue with our defence (allowing too many offloads) has been there for the past 10 years, so it's nothing new.

Id give Hoff a run on the wing next week. And slip Gillett and Glenn to center. Teo to play lock and Sims to the bench. Rest of the team can stay as it. Sorry Beale.
