Broncos Vs. Warriors - Match Thread

The long range tries didn't worry me because they were the product of our players going down and the warriors exploiting it. It was not being able to wrap the ball up that annoyed me.

I to am disappointed in the result and think we seemed to not do the hard stuff first. I believe that's because we simply lack the hard nuts upfront. I would have been happy to see Sims and Clinton( retained obviously ) as our front rowers but if IH has a plan for the frontrow it is not openly seen.

Like a few others I felt the Warriors would probably be too strong for our smaller forwards and tipped accordingly but it makes me puke to be correct. Perhaps the bookies will be spot on about our chances for making the eight.

God I hope things are under control for next year.

It has been the Broncos weakness forever. I don't understand how they let teams get away with offloads so often. [icon_thumbs_do Yeah 2 of the Warriors long range tries were from Folau and Kemp being injured but a few more were scored with ease. [icon_confu

Beale is not a winger. And Glenn needs a decent winger outside him or he isnt up to it.

imo Gillett should have been in the Centre

Yeah it was a strange decision from Ivan, When Folau went off Te'o moved to right centre Gillet moved to the left side and Thaiday moved to the right side and Beale to wing. Seemes like overkill to me.

One thing that REALLY annoyed me was on the try that the Warriors scored to get back in front 20-16, McCullough gave up the chase at the in goal, letting Ropati make the conversion so much easier. Sure, only a small thing, but to me that just shows "I've given up". Fucking HATE that.

Its all a learning curve for Ivan as well however.

From the coaching box to the forwards we lack experience. That comes with time and the Broncos can only get better.

Yeah that was pretty poor that was right in front of me.. That display makes me think twice about Macca being a Broncos captain.

We lack nuts!!

Well that was a very disappointing game. We REALLY need to learn how to shut the opposition down. Warriors have always been a team that loves to offload, so we should've been more prepared to shut the players down. This is one thing that frustrates me the most when I watch us play.

I thought the best ones were Kenny, Te'o, Gilett, Winterstein and McCullough. Sammy was going great guns too, but he missed a lot of tackles today.

IMO the game today looked more like a Warriors home game than Broncos. The Warriors supporters cheered the most and we just well, died. [icon_thumbs_do

At about 30 minutes I think I read the Warriors had 14 offloads. That's massive.

A very disappointing performance. Wallace lacks creativity, Lockyer seems dumbfounded and looks like the worlds on his shoulders ; thus influencing his own performances.

Injuries are derailing our campaign and it's barely begun, which is unfortunate but their is always hope.

Te'ó has been a shining light, and I've been fairly impressed with his performances in the first 3 rounds.

Dodds and McGuire aren't up to standard, Glenn isn''t a centre and McCullough seems very slow out of dummy half.

Sims should be brought in for some aggressiveness and Ben Hunt or Tim Smith need to occupy one of the bench spots to offer more creativity.

At this moment the Broncos attack seems in shambles and defence isn't much better either, the offloads especially are killing them.

Fantastic.

What a terrible game for us. I have to be honest, I realise we're only at round 3, but the coming weeks look a bit bleak to me.
