Broncos Vs. Warriors - Match Thread

Well that was a very disappointing game. We REALLY need to learn how to shut the opposition down. Warriors have always been a team that loves to offload, so we should've been more prepared to shut the players down. This is one thing that frustrates me the most when I watch us play.

I thought the best ones were Kenny, Te'o, Gilett, Winterstein and McCullough. Sammy was going great guns too, but he missed a lot of tackles today.

IMO the game today looked more like a Warriors home game than Broncos. The Warriors supporters cheered the most and we just well, died. [icon_thumbs_do

I know it was shameful the whole of Marsden was in attendance at Suncorp today. [icon_thumbs_do

You mean, Woodridge?

We'll be 1 and 4 when the Sharks visit on April 18. Probably playing for last spot...

And Locky said we were aiming for 3/4 when the season started...

Honestly we're missing a quality exp forward. Setu/Teo and these youngsters have so much potential but we need an established forward.

Our backline injuries are nothing but bad luck but what can you do?

5/10 would be nice IMO.

BTW if we can't beat the SHARKS at home then we're not being serious about 2010 and it is as SIMPLE as that.

fans voting with their feet now .... I can't blame them and if Bruno Cullen and co think this is good enough then they can expect a lot more disillusionment in years to come as well.

Are you a Deadsh*t? How is this Cullens fault? Did he knock out Kemp, izzy? Sh*t his fast never saw him on the field.

how does the view look from where you are ? Despite the fact your head is buried in the sand I bet the view is bright moron and gold, oops, maroon and gold ....

If your comprehension skills were a little sharper you'd understand that I'm laying the challenge down to Cullen and co for 2011 and beyond, not this year. I even started a thread about it before the season kicked off.

Tell ya what, if this Broncos group makes the top 8 this season, I'll put a head shot of Braith Anasta as my avatar for a month.... [icon_ee

On that note that 100k Punter is feeling good right about now me thinks.

I'm no doomsayer but I'll be honest - I've never been less confident about winning the next match... I actually think the Roosters will win next week and I never think that way so that has to say something.

The Roosters are going to be tough to beat. They can play, and they've just gone down today in a massive thrashing.

Anyone is going to be tough to beat for the Broncos at this point in time.

Exactly... first time in many, MANY years the Roosters have more to offer in attack than the Broncs. Which is why It has me nervous.

The only time I've felt so low on confidence about winning the next game is probably late 2007 when shane perry was our only half option and pretty much all our backs gone.

We are missing Hodges so desperately, dead set if that guy wasn't injured so fking much he'd be the best centre in the game and by far the best Bronco at the club :(

^
If you mean that 1v8 game by any chance --> as delusional as it is I actually had more hope then! /sarcasm

Honestly though - that particular match we had a 1/20 chance to win a 14-10-ish sort of game. We ended up 50-0.
ahahhahah.

I agree, but only to a minor extent.

Having Justin Hodges back isn't going to arrest the major flaw in this Broncos group - sub-par forward pack.

Take a look at teams like the Dragons the way they roll forward and allow an average at best halves combination to just pepper their opposition.

Lack of a real solid go-forward is where the problem was for the Broncos last season and again in 2010. The club needs a hard-nosed, proficient forward pack before it needs anything.

He's not the answer --> but we can get away with some wins --> builds confidence for the young team.

Is it just me or is Gerard Beale just woefully out of his depth either in the centres or on the wing? He couldn't tackle broncospwn.
