Broncos Vs Warriors - Pre & Post Game Discussion

Oh yeah thats a great move. Dropping our best forward by far for the game against the warriors in Auckland. I don't care if he slept in or not, when a top 4 spot is on the line he should be getting off with a warning surely. We've already lost Tonie and Hodges FFS.

It's not the first time he has been late to training & he got dropped the other time as well.

WB's done the right thing. I'm sure you despise the guy, but that's ok, he knows what he's doing.

we could be without Stagg as well, apparently he has stayed in Brisbane with his wife expected to give birth tomorrow.

Brisbane could also be without tackling machine David Stagg who remained in Brisbane on Thursday, with his wife expecting to give birth on Friday.

Stagg could make a rushed trip across the Tasman if the baby arrives on time but there's a possibility he will miss the clash.

Babies. Sleep ins.

Geez, get your priorities right! :P

Got no issues with him being dropped. They know the rules, they know the consequences. I don't care how important the game is (unless of course it was the grand final, then it would be a tad harsh!).

She can give birth alone. [icon_wink

if Stagg has to go then i guess Eastwood will play lock but who will come onto the bench?
Ah Mau maybe?

You can't afford to be complacent/inconsistant when it comes to disicipline, it's more then just an issue of sleeping in that not dealt appropriately will only leave room for future problems.

I'd actually like to see Palmer Wapau introduced, but I'd be happy with Ah Mau.

Maybe Thaiday is really injured and the 'sleep-in' story is really a smokescreen ?

I understand its frustrating from a fans point of view but in the long run it helps not only the player but the team. Its because brisbane have these tough rules in place that our club has very few problems with behaviour and a part of the reason we have been so successful!!Everyone knows the rules and knows that if u dont follow them you have to pay the price reagrdless if its round 1 or round 23

But Sammy your still a goose!!!

Will be great to see how the Broncos play here, I'm expecting a real ugly game either way. Hopefully so much chopping and pasting won't cause to much of a disturbance to our current form.

The way Thaiday has been tearing it up, he's earned a damn sleep-in. What's he been channel 9 MOTM 5-6 times this year for the Broncos? This is not a player who needs a rocket.

I see, so its appropriate for a player who's considered a senior player and has been a captain for the club during the season to send mix messages to the other players that commitment to all area's of your football isn't important regardless how "minor" it may be seen by some? In the real world as a coach when it comes to decisionmaking you have to look past the strictly narrowminded view of one player's inclusion in a side and have a look at the real impact incidents like this have and can have on the side, especially if not dealt appropriately, otherwise your just asking for future problems.

Id say there a little more to it than just sleeping in on a single occassion!!
We dont know the circumstances and theres nothing we can do so lets just get on with it and get pumped for saturday!

its club rules, eastwood was dropped for the same thing earlier in the year..... the annoying thing is if it was against any other side palmer would get a start.....

Yeah it's about time this bloke got a run. That's probably a bit too experimental for Bennett at this stage in the season though.
