OFFICIAL Broncos winning the 2022 Comp

I never really paid much attention to this thread, I actually thought it was a bit of a piss take.

We were never a realistic chance of winning the comp this year, I think if most Bronco fans are being honest they'll admit the Parra score flattered us as we scored some pretty lucky tries, if the tries weren't lucky we definitely had a bit of luck in how we were able to get back to back sets.

I got no doubt the pitchforks will come out and Kevvie will be under the spotlight if we fade out and finish 7th or 8th but really, considering where we were, it has still been a great season. Who knows though, maybe this Tigers loss is the one that flicks the switch, maybe it was the bad game we needed. Ball is still very much in our court with some of the teams we have to play, if we beat them it'll obviously strengthen our position and weaken theirs.
We were always a realistic chance of winning - if I don't fully believe that every year, there's no point in watching.

But yea, ball is in our court. We have the talent to do it.

If we want to go deep into the finals, this was a good loss to have.

A loss isn't bad at this time. It sends the rocket up them. They will be better for it.
Hopefully. Penrith also lost to the Tigers last year...

Depends on how we bounce back from it......

This team needs a mini break like we had in '06.

They look tired, flat. They need a breather.

Rhys off, all of you doom and gloomers, plenty of other threads to wallow in.

Posters like @Santa and @Wolfie with their unwavering optimism, even if sometimes seemingly misplaced, are often the only thing that makes this place tolerable. Otherwise it's just endless misery and insults. Had more than enough of that in 2020 and 2021.

Right now we haven't budged an inch on the table. End of the round it might be different, but for now WE have put ourselves in this position and WE have put own fate in our hands. I'll take that with four games still in hand.

We are capable of making the finals. As @Super Freak said, we probably just need a little break to freshen up.

Relax everyone, first wait till tuesdays team selection, If kevvie does right that's the fundemental team outside Herbie and Patty that we use for the rest of the season, a win against knights can put us on track.

but my god if Niu is picked again fmd.

You really think Kevvie walks in "righto lads, we lost that game because of Tesi, so Tesi, you're out"

No he doesn't think like that, he's a coach, not a BHQ poster

He'd be of a realisation that Tesi is the least of his worries. Atop his concerns would be an extremely bendable defensive line which has been prevalent off and on all year long. And when it bends properly, the gaps are the size of Sydney Heads.

Also concerning him would be his HB who is a bit off the boil. He is obviously nowhere near 100% fit and a long season is starting to take it's toll on his body.

Staggs would be another worry. Apart from a couple games, he has had a poor season. You need more than 5 tries from your strike centre. He really struggles to be relevant sometimes and his defensive deficiencies rear it's ugly head occasionally.

The dummy half situation is another problem. When your three options aren't NRL standard, it's difficult to move forward. When one of those guys is your son, it makes for a very awkward situation indeed.

Fans always blame a certain one or two players when a couple losses occur. It's an anxiety thing. In their minds, one change will suddenly reverse the previous result. When in reality, TMM wouldn't have made a lick of difference these past two rounds.
