Broncos Youth Players and Young Guns coming through.

Seems we've lost Jamal Shibasaki to Roosters. So they have got Collins the Va'a brothers and Shibasaki.... Good feeder club we are.
Don't forget Sam Walker. Collins was released after he completed his U20's tenure. He hasn’t looked back since.

If you say so.

Few standouts that seem to be on some contract with us. I'm sure there are more but these guys looked the goods, all backs.

Devonte Vaivela a big and very fast centre, explosive even, lightning off the mark good footwork.

Israel Leota giant winger, huge runs, pretty excited to see this guy progress. Perfect Oates replacement.

Tariq Tanner fast centre, great fend, good footwork, one to keep an eye on.

We'll probably lose em as is the way but we'd do well to at least keep Leota, good prospect in a position we'll need.

According to Lockyer, the Broncos wanted to keep him but they were out-bid by the Roosters in 2016 while Collins was rehabbing from a serious injury.

My son is a close mate of Lindsay's. They offered him a paltry base contract and weren't overly interested if he accepted or not. Lindsay's preference was to stay in Brisbane but the Roosters offered him a spot on their main contract list worth at least a 150 grand more than what the Broncos were willing to cough up. He doesn't have any regrets and has fallen in love with city of Sydney.

Sounds like a standard procedure for an NYC prospect, hardly a release. Good for the Roosters offering more than double and eventually recouping their investment.

In fairness to the Broncos, they had a pretty stable pack back in those days and had some good "up and coming" youth waiting in the wings. It worked out well for Lindsay as he avoided the eventual destruction of the club and the rabble it continues to be. He dodged a bullet there.

Yeah, Brisbane had just signed Tevita Pangai Jr and Carrigan was just beginning to make waves in the NYC. The Broncos would also win the signature of Payne Haas who was being chased by every club in the game. I don't blame Collins from going elsewhere, but again, Chewed is spot on with his accusation.

He also forgot Jayden Nikorima who ruined his career by going to the Roosters.

Leota and Vanivela are Souths MM side, interesting to see if they develop again under Hunt and can play Cup.

Leota is obviously a big boy and the bigger name. I personally really like Vaivela but do you think there is any progression to the nrl for him or do you think his peak will be around cup?

He was already in the top 30. Still one more spot to fill.

I don't think adding him to the roster was presented as "breaking news," but Scanlan's comments today about him recovering from injuries, needing to put on some weight and making his debut in the back half of the year should be of interest to most fans. Especially those of us who are looking forward to life after Billy.

It's more the Broncos who aren't pumping out the press releases. They've been months behind the press on signings.

It definitely was lol, I read the article. He even emphasies the point that he was added to the top 30 'following the depature of Jake Turpin to the Roosters', implying it's happened in the last couple of days.

he also says that we'll be "unleashing" the next Cam Smith on the NRL, before quoting Scanlan who says we'll be using 2023 as a development year for Mozer and that he expects Mozer to debut at some stage at the back end of the season
