Shane Perry is a far bigger omission than Walker.

I nearly went ahead and justified that by saying 'Walker never won a premiership with us' but then I remembered he happened to be on the bench in the '97 GF.

Kind of like how Mundine happened to be playing five eighth when we won.

Although in fairness to Anthony, I actually thought his performance was underrated. I was led to believe he was a passenger out there but he was running plays out there and looking likely.

The fact I've got more to say about him than Walker speaks volumes. The best thing I can say about Ben Walker is that he was a promising bench player who had the habit of creating chances from the bench and it appeared that he was going to form this amazing combination with Lockyer at one point.

I don't know what happened in 1999 or 2000 to deter Bennett but safe to say, it never panned out.

For awhile, I thought Ben Hunt was going to follow the exact same path.

Allan Langer the man they call Alfie is easily the greatest halfback we've ever produced and ever will

Mundine actually played in the centres in the Super League Grand Final and he was one of our best players on the field that night as you point out. FTR he played only 11 first grade matches that year.

He may have been named there, but he was playing five eighth - Kevie was hooker.
