Hunt is a classic case of the guy who had too much too soon and doesn't have emotional intelligence to cope.
Izzy exists on a different level. He is simpler, but purer.
He is young and thinks that money is the answer.
However, when he gets older, he will know it is.

Maybe, but the question is more important than the answer icon_smile

Gawd...Gee as CEO...he'd sound dumber than Peter Parr.

I think the best CEO in the comp is Todd Grenburg without a dobut. Players love him from what i can tell and he has great ideas with publicity ect.

We need somebody like him.

If Coxy isn't going to accept the NRL CEO job, surely he's a shoe in for the Broncos CEO

He would release half the team [icon_razz1

My first act would be to install handicap toilets in the gym with a steady stream of willing participants...to avoid any unpleasantness in uncontrolled environments.

To be honest the days of jobs for the boys are long gone... Clubs need to be managed by experienced businessmen. Gee is not that.

Gee was our "sponsorship director" and worked on our deals with W.O.W and others when in 2009 he was headhunted by Oxmar Developments and sought an imediate release due to the opportunity they offered. (must have some business smarts) and then he was re-recruited by us most likely to fill the void left by Bruno if he does indeed retire at the end of the year.
We have only had a relative few CEOs over the years and I don't think it is a position the board will treat lightly.

I have a good feel about Gee.
He knows the game and has been involved with the club during the halcyon days. He knows what is expected both on and off the paddock.

No ex-players. It's the most successful sporting brand in the country, it is a business that needs to be managed.

Some of the most successful sports clubs in the world are managed by ex-players.

Examples? And how long did they wait before they took the top job?

I know a fair bit from my European background, but here's a few:
Bayern Munich (Uli Hoeness, K.H. Rummenigge), Lazio Roma (Mancini), Marseille (Boli), Benfica (Rui Costa), Barcelona (Beguiristain).
Most went in the job within 5 to 10 years after finishing their sporting career.

Don't forget Guardiola mate. He's done a phenomenal job at Barca!

Oh hell yeah, for sure!
But he's the coach, I'm only talking managers here.
