Yeah, that's the issue. We have a host of wingers/fullbacks but precious few centres.
Josh Hoffman to me has all the attributes required to be a top fullback, just needs to work on his speed a bit. Which he can do given a proper offseason (sat out last year's with a shoulder recon). Hodges isn't any quicker.
Gerard Beale would do well at fullback, and did perform well against Manly, and is probably just as good in the centres.
Yow Yeh is an excellent finisher on the wing, though not the best defensively.
Winterstein is much like Yow Yeh though probably a tad safer in defence/positionally.
Michaels...well, he thinks he's a centre, but he is such a poor reader of the play.
Glenn...he's a back rower. Potentially a damn good one. We keep wasting him in the centres and on the wing.
Folau...spare me the "he's paid too much to play wing" crap, he plays wing because at the moment about the only thing he's good at is catching bombs and barging over out wide. If he wants to play centre he has to spend a lot of the offseason learning how to defend, learning how to time his runs and hit gaps etc. I'm not sold on him as a centre at all, and in fact think he'll develop into a back rower the older he gets, or remain a big bustling winger.
Given that, I don't think we have a lot of choice other than:
1. Hoffman
2. Winterstein
3. Michaels/Beale/Glenn
4. Hodges
5. Yow Yeh
