What about the 5 or 6 (depending who you ask) legal requirements to form a contract. Offer, acceptance yada yada yada?

Yeah all that, but none of it is relevant to this situation. He hasn't entered a contract with the club verbal or otherwise until he's "signed" the written contract. There's nothing to see here.

Given he is probably one of the best backrowers in the competition, If we got him for 500k it's a steal, especially when you consider our position.

With Capewell coming out and saying he hasn't signed anywhere this may actually backfire on us.. It seems someone at the club has leaked that he is/was going to sign.
He may not like this, similarly to how Bennett didn't like that it was leaked he was going to the Roosters all those years ago. He then backflipped as a result.
It isn't often we see this from players (with a personal video). If he now signs it makes him look a little silly.
I don't know how this will end, but hopefully we do land him.

Was the leak true? I don't know, but it certainly made Fifita look like an idiot. And Fifita was quite rightly furious this had got out. And any chance of Fifita taking less to remain at the Broncos was damaged by this debacle.

The Titans kept quiet on signing Justin Holbrook as their coach until he had informed his club at the time in English Super league. It doesn't seem that the Broncos ship has the same discipline.

It is an interesting question about where the leak has come from. Lee's signing got out before it was announced but Reynolds basically didn't. Robati, Staggs and Cobbo didn't until it happened. Coates leaving came out long before it was announced and Kevvie looked like a goose through the whole thing.

So I don't know if this one has come from the Broncos or elsewhere. If I had to guess, I'd say Kevvie himself.
