This needs to be a response from the NRL or Carney will simply end up at another club. The NRL won't be able to do anything because he really has done nothing wrong except broken the trust of his playing group.
You can bet there will be plenty of clubs lining up to sign Carney and back themselves to fix his problem, which of course won't happen and the problem will just move with him.
