I've got the recordings of the 06 final games of the Broncos. I'll watch them once in a while, especially the Prelim against the Dogs and of course, the GF where we beat the cheats!

Although not an official full season finals competition, I wish I had a video of the 1989 Panasonic Cup final we won against Illawarra.

The number of times the Broncos have been screwed out of games by referees, especially in the finals, I'll take it. Gladly.

I remember reading in Locky's book that Bennett said we were screwed against the Roosters in 02, I wasn't watching league back then but I have heard we probably would've gone on to win it again if not for some shitty decisions in the prelim.

01-03 we were penalised out of each final.

05 we were denied a fair try because Orford took a massive dive among a slew of questionable calls.

02 was the worst of the lot though, Roosters received the bulk of the penalties including a disgraceful one when we were on top & Hodges shoved McGuire over when he was attempting to play the ball. Harrigan later admitted he got the call wrong but it was of little comfort to Wayne.

The best Grand Final I think the Broncos won was the 2006 game against Melbourne. We were considered gone 4 weeks out from the finals, lost all hope, were bagged in the media but came back smashing Canterbury, Parra and the Warriors to finish in 3rd spot. We fell to the Dragons though in week 1, off to a sudden death showdown with the Knights. Newcastle wer'nt at full strength and we took advantage belting them 50-6. Next week at halftime down 20-6 against the Bulldogs Willie belts out YOU'VE GOT NOTHING BRISBANE, we comeback thanks to Berro and end up destroying them 37-20. Then we were premiers prevailing in a thrilling final 15-8 (I was at the game).

Other great finals game we've won. The 98 grand final qualifier where Brisbane humiliated the Roosters 46-18 would be up there. My stance is 50/50 on that one. Locky's farewell last year, Wendell's 4 tries against St George Illawarra, the comeback against Cronulla in 2000 and the Grand Final qualifier in 93 GREAT TRY ALAN CANN.

Because it has been mentioned I remember that Roosters V Broncos preliminary final of 2002 very well. I remember Brett Mullins intercepting a pass from Alf although Mullins was a mile offside and wasn't called back amongst other desicions.

I don't like the way we won, I'll say that much.

I thought so at the time as well, even though I actually AGREE with the no try decision - I just didn't like the fact it played a big factor. However,I'll take it gladly... we WERE the better team on the night... in fact, I don't think the scoreline reflected our performance TBH (our execution a bit off)... IMO we were 2 tries / 12 points-ish better than the Storm that night. We got what we deserved. No doubt. I actually think it was one of the best GF performances from a team in the modern era.

No offence but have you even seen any of these games? Weren't you born in like 1995-1996?

It's next to impossible to find copies of these games you're talking about unless someone in your family has them recorded.

Wouldn't be impossible, pretty much all those games have been replayed on FoxSports at one time or another.

I've got the highlights of most of those games on DVD. I remember the Dell's night out against the Dragons though, was watching the game with mum. I'm a bit of a Rugby League lover and have books and DVD's about those games.

One of my favourite grand finals was the Qld Cup grand final where Casey McGuire scored for the Clydesdales with seconds left on the clock to beat Redcliffe at Dolphin Oval. That was a bit of an epic, as was the Burleigh-Easts game a couple of years later.

http://www.rugbyleaguefilms.com.au/Default.aspx you can get games from the past on dvd, shame the real early seasons of the Broncos are scarce and the ones that you can find tend to be ones like against Balmain from 1988 and 1989, lol not happy memories. Well at least there isn't our first game against the GC Giants there......

I want to see the two games where the Broncs were totally screwed over...just so all the anger can bubble back to the surface...the one where Harrigan penalized us out of the finals and the other when that arrogant prick referee penalized us 10 nil.....

96 vs. Chooks is right up there.

8-0 penalty count including a penalty for an incorrect tap to decide the game. That was such a bad call and basically all the proof you need to show why refs. shouldn't ref. to the letter of the game.

Good game too, low scoring where practically each try is earned through good play rather than inept defence.

Heard a few negative things about Rugby League Films unfortunately GC like they only give you 40-60 minutes of each game which at those prices is an absolute rip off.

If they bundled entire Broncos seasons for say 100-150 I'd consider buying them.

Really only 40-60 minutes, thats disappointing I must say, still I wish they would have more early season games, I would consider picking some of those up, would love to get a copy of our first game against Manly.

I'm still holding out on details for the new digital deal.

Would be great if the NRL opened up their library and gave fans access to the vaults.

Even if it came up a reasonable fee, I'd be game.
