The definition of "Defamation" is to spread bad reports about someone which could do them harm. The verb is to defame. You can defame someone if you say something false about them which spoils their good reputation, which makes people want to avoid them or which hurts them in their work or their profession.

This is an internet message board. Mangrove Jack is not your real name. How can anything said here spoil your reputation when nobody knows who you are?

If i wrote something like "John Smith is a racist" that would be defamation (actually, it's only defamation if it's not true) but this is a public forum with hidden identities so defamation cannot happen here

It's the way forward boys.

RL will always need a balance between tradition and modern times but I think corporate privatisation of teams is one way forward for our game... unless people are happy with slow growth...

I'm fine with corporate privatization. But the teams should always be their location name and mascot nickname.

I can handle NRMA Brisbane Broncos. But not NRMA Broncos. We are from Brisbane, not NRMA
