I probably make myself guilty of that, but I do it based on the many games I've seen him play.
He has the talent to be a superstar, but we all know that's not enough. He's got to put the effort in and have the work ethic to make it...

He's the best young back I've seen in a long, long time. Whether he fullfills that potential is the 64K question!

Hunt > Bowen, at least at rep. level. Hunt had no issues doing his job and took a lot of difficult bombs, ran it back as hard as he could and gave Locky tremendous support. Bowen shirked all that stuff and kept cramping the backline. It's a shame injuries caught up to him and he wasn't afforded the same opportunities Billy was, but then again, Slater had always shown some positive qualities at fullback, Bowen only looked good off the bench.

Gagai is an absolute talent and if he prepares himself appropriately he'll be our starting winger. Beale will probably get the first nod, but as I've said earlier, I think he'll end up in the centres.

Hate this BS, about even competitions and how great it is to see so many unique premiers. To me, if everybody eventually wins the prize, then the prize isn't that valuable to begin with and if we have to restrict our best sides in the comp. to benefit the weakest then I think we're letting ourselves down.

Oh, and the West Tigers. How people think they're the most exciting team does my head in. 7 times out of 10 they play this directionless crap brand of football that is just disgusting to watch and I wouldn't want to show any potential converts.

Bowen is purely a great club player, He will never be a star at rep level and as long as he sticks with the cowboys he will never win a premiership.

Bowen was found out by the Australian coach the week before when he got Anasta and Finch to bomb the s**t out of him and Bowen faulted.

On the other hand, Hunt was getting better with every game and was a stand-out early for the Broncos.

Just cause Bowen had a bad game, his form was still superior to Hunt.

Back on Gagai I agree. Extremely talented back with huge potential. But then everyone said that about Willie morganson. ;-)

The only game I have watched Gagai live was against the Storm in Melbourne and he was utterly pathetic. His defense was weak and IMO if he was ready for first grade he would have done a lot better than he did. The kid is a fullback currently but IMO should be bulked up and and given a crack at QLD cup next year in preparation for a big season once he gets an opportunity.
