Copley or Reed

Would you prefer to keep Copley or Reed if it comes down to it?

Wayne has always loved his indigenous speed demons..Not too many caucasian ones around in the NRL..Look at at the islanders and Fijians they bringing in especially.... Terupe is Aussie born Maori..

so copley was informed 6 weeks ago as the 1st choice replacement for hodges long term, in the last fortnight he has been sold the old company line and has now been told that the club cant afford to pay him what he is worth from 2017 onwards so he is free to look elsewhere (money has obviously been spent on roberts now) . It will probably be denied like usual but some of the senior players arent overly happy. I guess thats the way professional sport is these days.

My comment wasn't remotely racist. but I wouldn't expect someone as socially inadequate as you to know the difference. I was simply asking Daniel if he only gets information regarding the indigenous Broncos players. I just found it strange that he didn't even mention Maranta as a possibility to start next to Roberts, in favour of 3 indigenous players who've never played in the NRL.

Calm down, it was a joke.

It's a shame the game has become such a 'business' these days.

Anyway, i wish Copley all the best if he does indeed have to move on.

This argument that Copley would've excelled under Bennett does not hold water. Bennett obviously doesn't rate him as highly as some on BHQ.

This. And I'll back Bennett's opinion thanks very much.

The game has been a business for ages, hell we were built on it and Copley wouldn't be the first player having to make way, might sound cold hearted but that is the nature of the game. The good news for Copley is he shouldn't have too much trouble finding a club if he has to move on.

There was a point in time that the greatest player to ever play the game had to make way. We went on to win 5 of the next 9 premierships. As much as i feel loyal to anyone who pulls on the broncos jersey, I trust Bennett to make the right decision 99 times out of 100.

I get the feeling that this may be the 1 time out of 100 where he makes a mistake.

I can't believe how many people on here now suddenly want Reed in the team now that Bennett has played him throughout the whole 2015 season.

It wasn't long ago that Reed was the scapegoat almost every single match, win, lose or draw.

Funny how some people's perception changes so drastically... Almost to the point where they seem to agree with every decision Bennett makes, right or wrong...

It's entirely possible. Personally I'd rather see Copley in the team than Reed. Maybe even Kahu at centre with Anderson given a crack on the wing (if Anderson was a couple of years older that would definitely be my preference). I think in the end the difference between the 2 options isn't so great that it will cost us the chance at a premiership either way

Re: Roberts V Gagai

That's not the truth. Reed isn't perfect in defence but you're exagerating far too much. And Milford hasn't made all these cover tackles you are imagining.

Hate Reed all you want but don't make shit up.

First of all I don't hate Reed at all. I was actually one of the few who stuck up for him whenever most people used him as the scapegoat on here, so how about you take a bit of your own advice and quit making shit up.

Second of all, for Reed being a so-called defensive specialist, he misses way too many tackles.Thirdly, I never mentioned Milford making cover tackles, but he has had to try and chase down players Reed let straight past him.

How is anything I said an over exaggeration. Twice against the Roosters, Ferguson ran around him from basically the same play when Reed was way too far in field. That game could of took a dramatic turn in the Rooster's favour, but luckily we scored a few tries early on.

Reed is just a little too slow to be able to run a player down from behind. Someone of his experience shouldn't be making such poor defensive reads.

Opposition players wouldn't need to beat Gagai on the outside. All they would need to do is run straight through him. The guy is a shocking defender..

Reed equal with Gagai in defence? Yeah, that's not even close to the truth.

Can you point out some examples of when Milford and Oates had to save the day?

What you don't remember any times Oates has had to come in off his wing to shut a play down because poor old Jack was in no-man's land? Or when Reed makes a lousy defensive Reed causing Milford to try and cover for his mistake. Pathetic.

Yeah, Reed and Gagai are equally as bad in defence. I never said Gagai was superior. I said they were both about the same. They are both terrible. Reed gets beaten on the outside way too often, and Gagai gets trampled way too often.

So how about both of you stop trying to spin what I said into your own little agenda whenever it suits you.
