Copley vs Reed

This is getting all a bit ridiculous. Can't we just agree what if GI is here next year Daniel was right, and if GI isn't here he was wrong? This back and forth over something that currently can't be proven is crazy.
 
Yeah, there's no way in the world Reed and Inglis would be a straight swap money wise.

No we can't because Daniel also said that the Broncos were going down to Origin 2 last year to sign GI for 2016.. That soon gets forgotten hey Dan
 
The reed hate is rediculous.
The dude is a fkn solid choice for a center. Its been said time and time again.... you need a balanced team, not superstars in every position. He tries hard and gives 100% for his team. What more do you want? And if its flash or speed a nice tan or a better hair cut, refer to my previous point ...you need a balanced team.

Copley came close to costing us a spot in the 2014 finals because he wanted to be a hog.. Twice, IIRC.

Thankfully, Hodgo saved the day for the Broncos by putting Gillett in to score and the momentum swung our way after that.

For the Jack Reed haters, here's a few interesting 2015 club stats & my thoughts on the "ginge"

TRIES
Fifth most- 11

TRY ASSISTS
Fourth most- 11

LINEBREAKS
First- 15 =with Maranta & Milf

TACKLE BUSTS
Sixth- 32

LINEBREAK ASSISTS
Fifth- 9

He also had the best Tackling Efficiency Rate of all our backs with 90%
Copley & Hodgo 81%
Our forwards average was between 93-96%

I would agree that none of these stats make Jack a world beater, he is at the very least though a very good solid dependable part of our team... even when playing with busted shoulders & dodgy calves.
His experience & resilience was IMO crucial to Milf & Oats throughout the year. Sure, Reed certainly isn't "flashy" or the most exciting player to watch, he is bloody good for Broncs though.

Yes but how many one handed flick pass backflip put downs did he do?

Seriously though, Good post. Those stats tell me he gets the job done. He always seems to be able to get a good relationship between him and his winger. He and hoffman carved up that left edge, and now he and oates are doing the same thing.

Hes not perfect, but hes a good egg and im glad hes a part of this team.

Daniel, what are you doing in another thread? ? Haha you're usually only in the rumors thread spreading claims of being related to every indigenous player who's ever existed in rugby league and their move to the broncos. . Enough dude. We get it. You're really important :) it's entertaining af though. Please continue :)

The issue with Reed isn't his ability. He genuinely has a broken body. The guy plays injured every single week and still does a solid job. Never whinges, just gets on with it. That's an NRL player and that's why he is picked ahead of others. Mentally tough players have a huge advantage.

He is going to need a hell of a good Physio post football!
 
Especially because he's not earning enough to retire so he'll have to find work. Hopefully the club can find him something indoors.
