Corey Parker announces retirement

Could it be possible that Corey parker may be moving to England for one year or two, on a big money deal

Nope, he's signed a media gig with fox as others have said in this thread.

Fair enough and I apologise that I came across as a bait.

I think what you have said in the last paragraph makes most sense in this situation.

No problem, you have mine as well for coming across like a GOB.

My take on this is that Parker wanted a 2 year deal, as a 2 year deal allows that extra buffer that you can "go out on your own terms" and retire a year early if you want. Same as Hodges did. If the Broncos were only willing to offer a 1 year deal, and then take him on a year to year proposition after that too, then at the end of each year, you can't go out on your own terms as if the club doesn't renew your contract, that's taking it out of your own hands. I figure Parker realised this, and being the man he is, decided he'd rather go out on his own terms now.

Even if he was pushed by Bennett, I don't really have any issues with that. Maybe it was a year early, but I'd prefer a coach to make the hard short term decisions for the better long term decisions. If Parker retiring now means the Broncos get to keep the next Parker, then I see that as a good decision.

BRONCOS fans are planning a special send-off for departing captain Corey Parker.Parker will play possibly his last home game next Thursday against the Roosters at Suncorp Stadium.
The Broncos have planned a special tribute for what will be his 345th NRL game.
And Broncos fans want to give Parker their own personal tribute.
Broncos fans are spreading the word for the expected 40,000-strong crowd to applause when the game clock reaches 13 minutes.
Parker has made the No. 13 jersey his own in the latter stages of what has been a decorated career at the Broncos.
It will be a nice gesture if the fans can spread the word and get enough to join in the applause.
The players certainly won’t miss it on the field.

Ive just bumped this thread to let everyone know who may not have seen this going around on social media and you're going to Cozza's last game. Spread the word.

I believe we should also do a standing applause at the 75th minute as a tribute to all the tries Maranta bombed in his career.

Just gotta hope they don't do something stupid at that moment, or it would be awkward.

"Corey Parker offloads the ball and it strikes the ground before rickocheting off Hunt's foot and through their own goal posts, crediting the opposition with a field goal and leaving the Broncos 13 points behind".

What a ridiculous theory. Hunt kicks a field goal indeed.:stupid:
