Thanks Darius, you tried your heart out all year long and did a good job to boot. We had no luck this year and the refs caned us all year but you never gave up.

Not that much out of context... why does Boyd need to do a novel personal celebration, generating a joyous reaction, on the evening when the Broncos were 50/50 at best at receiving the first wooden spoon in their history.

His whole attitude - "footy is just my job not my life / identity" - might have helped him with his mental health issues, but imo has contributed to a culture of apathy amongst the playing group.
