Hold the phone, everybody.

I won’t be hanging up the boots any time soon, I don’t plan on surrendering the captaincy of the Broncos, and for the meantime I’ll be playing at fullback.
Some of the media commentary about our club over the past week has been fairly extreme.
I personally don’t have any social media accounts and I try my best to avoid it, but you still hear people talking about things and it’s hard to ignore completely.

I’ve been in the game long enough to understand when a team is losing or a player has an off night the outside pressure can quickly pile up.
Last week’s loss to the Roosters was a performance that didn’t reach the standard we’ve set ourselves, and everyone at the club realises that.
After a game like that I accept there’s going to be plenty of people giving their opinion about this and that.

But it’s not panic stations up here at Red Hill.
We know there’s still room for improvement but we also know there’s plenty of things this team has been doing right over the past few months and early this season.
Unfortunately we’ve lost three of our four games but aside from last week’s performance we haven’t been playing that badly.
What the players have to continue to do is trust in what Anthony Seibold and the coaching staff are doing, and understand we’re moving in the right direction.
This is a relatively young side and the potential in this group is huge. We just have to keep putting in the work.
I know people have been questioning my form, as well.
But I’ve honestly been quite happy with my form over the opening four weeks.

I realise and accept I didn’t have my best game last week, but I’m certainly not going to throw the baby out with the bathwater.
I had a solid pre-season and I’m feeling the fittest I’ve been in probably 12 months.
The suggestion that I’m not fit to play fullback anymore is far too premature. I’ll be the fullback of this team as long as the coaching staff want me to be.
A positional switch has not been mentioned at all and I don’t plan on giving up the No.1 jersey. This spine has been practising together since the beginning of pre-season and we’re not going to abandon the gameplan after four weeks.
What we do need to focus on is handling the ball so we’re not giving away possession and forcing ourselves to do more defence than we should be.

I also don’t plan on giving away the captaincy of this team.
I love being the captain of the Broncos and if Seibs is happy with how I’m doing the job then I won’t be handing over the armband.
Every expert will have a theory and an opinion on what we should and shouldn’t be doing.
But we know we’re heading in the right direction and we know we have the team to achieve something special.
Please just shoot me now.
Not only is he oblivious to the shit he's been dishing out, he's planning to keep doing it for as long as he's allowed to! :nailbiter:

Seibs needs to channel some 1990 Wayne.

You have but one path to walk to put all this talk to bed Darius: grow some fucking heart and lead us to a premiership.

He honestly lost me in the opening paragraph. The dude needs to have a dramatic output of form in the next few games otherwise he's legit cancelled

He hasn’t earned the right to call the fans out like this, the ego and self entitlement from him is ridiculous.

What’s even more absurd is you know there is literally no chance he will come out firing as he’s no longer capable of it, a cracking game from Darius these days is not fucking up the pass to Oates & not catting it in defense.

If the last 4 weeks is his idea of good form then the clubs got bigger problems than first thought.

A month or so ago it was the fittest he's ever felt iirc.
