Well for me it's along the lines of him being a part of a very successful team that has put the football side first.

The storm who have a great scouting and pathways setup going... something we could use... including his contacts with scouting staff currently in Melbourne's setup

Have a football department headed by a GM of football... Ponissi would be a great pick up for the broncos as well, and he may be able to get him to follow him to Brisbane.

There would be hope that the board would entrust him to setup the football department the way it should be and he as a CEO knows that he needs the football department to be separate from him. Instead of micro managing it and being overly involved with it

People may also be happy to see a more football orientated CEO being preferred rather than a pure business CEO coming in, because it at least gives a perception that the board understand a focus on the football department is required

imagine if I had have said that, lol

a report in the Australian newspaper in Feb this year said that the club has been independently valued at $31 million. Although, the report didn't mention profit margins, i doubt they are valued that high without some profit margins
