Dragons Vs. Broncos - Build Up Thread

I think McGuire and Sims are capable of rattling a few cages... I'd send KHUNT on a few well timed runs head first at Soward also...

Defs - these are our hard men and they are the ones potentially able to get the job done

Yeah. Canberra showed the blueprint for beating the Dragons. Give it to them and give it to them hard! Love having Te'o & Sims on the bench and I reckon they could give a good shake up with their impact play after Taylor and Kenny do the hard yards. We're a big chance if Taylor keeps running off Lockyer's short passes. Can't wait to see Hodges and Thaiday go up against Creigh.

It's particularly important that the guys don't get carried away with today's performance / result. While our attack seemed to get back on track, our defence in general was still below par - the Dragons will absolutely nail us if we don't get that right.

Disagree. Think our defense was still a little rusty in the first half, and it was clear we worked a lot on our attack. We showed in the 2nd half that if we are committed in defense we have the players to pile on points.

I wonder if Bennett can spell SLUMP!!!!!!!

Yeah, absolutely right. Kind regards,
Broncos 2003, 2005 :-)

One more week in between and I would have been pretty confident. Still quietly, but our defense really needs to stand up and we need some mongrel and go forward.
Rattle their cages seems to be going around and it is 100 percent correct. Get up all in their face.
Broncs by 4 seems possible.

We'll beat the Dragons 60-0.
Where's the confidence people?
Those little merging choking draqueens have no chance against the MIGHTY BRISBANE BRONCOS!

I'd like to see Justin Hodges run at Ben Creagh. Repeatedly.

I really hope those two cause some shenanigans.

I'd rather see Taylor run at Creagh.. hes made a career out of running at Lockyer, let's see him take on someone half his size.

I wouldn't be too worried about what WB knows, he's been in charge of the worst slumps in history... If the Broncos play well and tackle their hearts out, then the dragons won't stand a chance.

Yeah cause the Broncos never had a 5/6/7 game losing streak under Bennett.........well we never had more than 1 of those losing streaks per season. Bennett was behind all of our biggest losing streaks, and we generally had at least one big dry spell every year since 2000.

St George should be worried. What the Broncos did to the panthers in that second half is exactly what the Raiders did to the Dragons, and they just couldn't handle it.

I haven't been this excited for a Broncos game in a long time, it could be epic.

Good to see us back in the top 8 too. If the eels can beat the tigers next week, and i think there was one other game that has pretty good odds of going our way, even if we lose we can still stay in the top 8.

Looking at the Tigers' run home they are far from guaranteed a finals spot.
Eels - form team of the comp.
Titans at Skilled - very tough away trip.
Bulldogs at SFS.

They could conceivably lose all 3.

Agree with Franonymoustu...this week's game could be epic...or it could be a fizzer with a return to normal programming for both teams....we'll see.

Realistically I don't see the Tigers winning any of them. Only 1 away team has come away from Skilled Park with the points this season, and that was a Thurston-and-Bowen-firing-on-all-cylinders Cowboys. Hayne could deadset win the grand final by himself at the moment, so the Eels should knock them over quite easily, and the Bulldogs.....well they're just so clinical in every game, I can't see a team that plays like the Tigers do troubling them too much.

Those inside balls against the Panthers will go along way to winning us the game against bennys boys. Remember the trouble the saints had against manly throwing inside balls a while back. Noone else has been doing it to em and with some raiders inspired toughness we could do it. Geez I'm excited.

Much like how Locky setup the try for Te'o. He'd been going wide to Thaiday every time. It was shaping again, Penrith pushed their defence to focus on Sam and BAM, Locky shifted a short ball to Te'o into a yawning gap.

Just like if Locky keeps throwing the inside ball and defence prepares for it, he has the option to dummy and go himself.

As you say, unpredictability FTW. Variation FTW. Two things the Broncos don't have when their form and confidence is low (dummy half run, one out hit up, one out hit up, one out hit up, shift two passes wide or another one out hit up, kick to fullback/winger on full....).

I want to see a biff on Friday night... On my wishlist of pain is, Soward, Creagh, Poore and Sailor.. If our kicking game is as good as it was on Sunday we are a real shot. We need to turn the big Dragons pack around and belt there backs..

Sorry I should have posted this here:

When was the last time we beat the Dragons at WIN though?
