Yeah like we are keeping something up our sleeve. [icon_lol1. [icon_lol1.

Israel Folau wouldn't fit up anybodys sleeve!!!

Provided they shut Wendell up and destroy Soward like Inglis has twice this year, a great Friday night will be had.

Yeah I want it to happen big time.. I don't remember Sailor being such a tool when he played at Brisbane.. Maybe I was a bit too young to notice..

IF we lose what teams do we need to lose to give us the best chance of making the 8?

This game reminds me of 2006 when we played the Storm in the same round,we didnt win the game but we only lost 12-8 IIRC, but it turned our season around and began to build momentum that ended with a premiership. Im pretty sure we were in a slump similar to what we have been through and we played the storm who were the form team of the comp. I think if we can match it with the Dragons and take the game to them then we can win or at least take enougn confidence out of a loss to know that if we can make the 8 we are a chance of winning the comp and can match it with the best. Its a long way off and theres a lot of footy to be played but I really feel that if we can win or come close we can begin something special similar to 2006 and really have a crack at the premiership. Might be wishful thinking but I hope its history repeating itself!!

Slump wasn't this severe you'd find, and we had the players in the team that could definitely turn that around. 2009 is a bit different in terms of playing staff, but that said it's their moment to shine.

cant wait to see dave taylor running at soward lol... looks like it will happen as soward defends that side and dave has been playing left wing the past few weeks lol!!!

Taylor actually was positioned at centre when Glenn went off with his injury.

Brought back memories of Brett Plowman

I just want us to win. It's been years since we beat St George and I can't cop losing to them. It would be even sweeter to do it down there.

Be comforted by the fact that even with Bennett, the choking culture will remain.

This is exactly what I was going to post. So sick of seeing inferior St George teams beat the Broncos. This St George team is superior but as other have said, if we can get under their skin and piss them off/distract them, we could go close. It's up to the forwards to give Locky and Wallace the room they need and this won't be easy with Soward's kicking game.

We need to win this game, otherwise i will cop it big time Saturday [icon_razz1 I will be catching up with a mate of mine that used to play reserve grade for the Dragons (he also played for lebanon in the 2000 world cup and Easts in the QLD Cup), the Broncos need to win this game for me [icon_razz1

We need to get right up in Soward's face and give him no room or time (and if possible smash him a few times, legally of course).

Agreed. I too, have issues with us losing to the Dragons. Started all the way back in about 1991 when my friend and I had an ongoing battle between our favorite clubs.

Also, I think every Dragons game this century I have seen live, we've lost [icon_thumbs_do . And the supporters really know how to rub it in up here.

I think, like a few others here - that unpredictability is the key. If they play that free flowing, random type of footy that they displayed in the second half against Penrith, they're in with a good chance.

So sick of hearing "oh when the Saints... when the Saints... when the Saints go marching in...." yelled drunkenly over and over and over, because those are the only words the boofheaded Dragons fans know.

I can't remember what year it was, maybe 06, the Dragons just won even though the Broncos were the better team. Some of you may remember there was a try scored off a ball that was literally thrown 8-10m forward in the first half and as I recall they got the rub of the green all game. We gave it to the players as they ponced off the field and that smarmy, overrated bumblef*ck Ryles just smirked his vacant smirk... and pointed at the scoreboard. There is no comeback to that. I remember that, I was there and it was 06. Bloody devastating. But St George, especially this year, always seem to get things their way. If the Raiders can beat them, then so can we. They just showed that you need to get up in their face and not be dominated, similar to Melbourne really.
