Eastwood denied visa

This is getting ridiculous.

However, it is going to be really good for the NRL, because players will have their managers telling them every single day that they can't **** up while out on the tiles. But speeding offences? That's bollocks.
 
Better for the NRL if the clubs can afford to keep them here. Carney and Bird are the major exceptions, but most of the players head to UK because NRL clubs can't afford to keep them under their salary caps. If NRL can't afford them and UK denies them visas, then the game overall suffers in the end.

Players with serious offenses against them I have no problem with them being out of the game, but some of these are relatively minor offenses and commited many years ago and the players involved have matured and made up for their mistakes.

I also don't think these visa rejections will have that much of an impact on player behaviour (unfortunately) - they aren't thinking that far down the track (one could say they actually aren't thinking at all) when they are out on the town with their mates doing stupid (sometimes illegal) things.
 
Surely there is more to this than just speeding. or they would never let anyone who has ever held a drivers licence work in the country
 
I read on another forum that someone said he got coaught driving on a suspended license or something.
 
Any chance he might end up in union?
 
Wow.... the old UK have really shut the gate on us hey.... must have finally got sick of all our pom jokes!

Wonder if we have cap room to squeeze Eastwood back in for this year he was very talented and skillfull for such a big unit.
