Ben Cummins is reffing our game. seriously NRL?

i suppose it could work in our favour if he feels regret over the poor sin bin he may lean our way on 50-50 calls...
 
It's better than Maxwell.

I just hope there are no clangers in this game. I hope he remembers what the offside rule is.
 
I do have to laugh at some of the comments on here ...

some people for much of the season have been calling for Oates to be named in the backline (usually wing but i have seen center as well). Griffin does what they want and people have a problem with the selection. :laugh:

I would like to know which person that have made a negative comment about that selection were calling for him to be in the centres all year...
 
I have no roblem with Oatea playing in the centres... as long as he runs in that position at training for the week leading up.
 
i wouldnt worry too much about it as im sure hoffman will be a late inclusion and he and hodges will swap between centre and fb in attack/defense.
 
I'm very surprised Gillett is playing. I'm hoping Lowrie drops off and Hala comes in cos Lowrie offers nothing from the bench. Him starting would be different but Hala could do far more damage in a ten minute cameo.

2 x ten minute cameos at least - back end of 1st half and start of 2nd perhaps, running at Thurston
 
If Broncos can defend like they did last week and play smart, patient footy in attack, they can win this.

Cowboys are not unbeatable. We've beat them before, we can do it again.

It will be 3rd time lucky for the Broncos.

you imply that the same people who wanted Oates to play a little centre, myself included are the same ones complaining.

I wouldn't mind Hala getting two 10-15 minute spells of pure carnage. Nothing but running hard and straight.

However whenever Hala has played, I've noticed he gets put on when we are on the back-foot and are constantly doing heaps of defensive work. That is not when Hala should be used as he'll be a liability with all that defensive workload.

Instead he needs to go on when were on the front-foot and getting repeated attempts at attacking the oppositions line.

There's no point getting him to defend for 10 mins and then pulling him off like he has use been used in the past. We should send him on when the momentum starts to swings in our favour and the cracks start to appear in the oppositions defence, only for Hala to try and capitalise on that. That would then assist in giving us the platform to attack and hopefully score some points.

hala should have a cardboard cut out of thurston in his room all week and just death stare it non stop.
 
Even though Gillett is named and Hoffman isn't, I think it'll be the opposite, Hoff will play and Gillett will fall out of the side, I'm expecting this side come Saturday night, we'll need Hala on the bench to combat the Tamou bench impact imo.
