Our spine isn't good enough to compete with the good sides. McCullough's service is terrible, Barba will never be a good half (it's clear he doesn't even posses the smallest of organisational skills required to being a FG half), Hodges is hopeless in defence and Hoffman is hopeless in attack. Hunt is pretty good, but he lacks the support and he's still pretty much a rookie, after being dudded by Griffin.


So the spine, and also the coaching is clearly the worst in the league...other than the Faders. Griffin is abysmal.

AFAIC, these are the two things that stop us from being real premiership contenders, but they are both big factors.

Backing into the playoffs is never ideal as it usually means a one week stay of execution but it isn't as bad as 2007 where we snuck in when Newc lost in OT on the Fri nite, two days later we celebrated by getting pumped 68-22 vs Parra then 40-0 by Melb one week later in a game best remembered for being Ian Lacey's last and Alwyn Simpson's only. While there is life, there is always hope but Micheal Morgan and Matt Scott have to be contained or it's going to be a mismatch.

The Cowboys can sure smash you if they dominate you through the middle like they did against Souths a short time ago. Scott and Sims were immense that night and hammered Souths of the park. I find Michael Morgan to be overrated, he has done a good job at fullback this year no doubt about it but I don't think he is one of the best fullbacks in the game like the commentators say.

I have to say I am amazed we are in the finals and I hope they give it a good go of it! I've been in the UK and Europe for the last 6 weeks so I have missed all the games but have watched some of the replays and read comments on here and it seems like the Broncos are just really needing consistency and a better game plan.

Will go for cowboys if we lose but we haven't lost yet!

This site is very quick to throw around the "You're not a true fan" crap. I remember when I was one of the first to call for Griffin's head last season I wasn't a fan. Funny how all the true fans came around to my side in the end.

Mixed emotion though. Bowed out of supercoach cash comp gf by 24 points. And learned the mighty Alhambra got knocked out by Hayseed'a Keith's laat week. For got I was playing in that comp.

I'm pretty sure hodgo jumped into 9 because Macca was passing so poorly. rarely do I agree with Macca bashers but he was very poor the other night.

He wasn't throwing forward passes from DH. That is a hodgo special

I think you will find that a lot of posters are members, I know I certainly am.

That all has nothing to do with it, he is proud of the fact that he will be cheering on the opposition in a finals match. For all I know he buys his membership so he can go along each game and cheer on the opposition there too

And fair enough too, if you're cheering the opposition you're not going to be called a fan. What's with you and generalisations anyway? You always seem to use the BHQ line as though we all think the same. I was on the sack Griffin thing a long time ago, check how long ago I started that thread...

Are you seriously trying to tell me a fan of a team who switches his allegiances to another team because they are a better chance of winning the premiership, is a "true fan"

I reckon we are a chance. Big part will be how Hook get's the boys "up" after the loss in what was thought to be an elimination final. I think we might have played our GF already.

Cowboys can have an off night. Both teams packed with some pretty inexperienced players in key roles. I won't be gutted if we lose, and I think our form this year coming into it the finals is better than 2012.

First points and we're a big chance. Start like we did against the Storm (and actually capitalise ... arggh Copley's forward pass!) and anything could happen.

Stoked we made the finals, tbh i think we deserve it over the Warriors and Eels, they have been worse than us the last few weeks.

Would love it if we could knock the Cowboys out. I never quite understand the affection a fair few Bronco fans have for the Cowboys as their fallback option when the Broncos are knocked out. I get that they are Qld clubs but its not Origin and the few Cow fans i come across hate the Broncos with a passion.

I don't care if we win on a play after the final siren on the 9th tackle with an illegal obstruction play not grounding the ball properly, lets knock these fuckers out!!

I get where Vertigo is coming from, but it's finals so I'd want us to go as far as we can - if the Cowboys beat us I'll be on their bandwagon but I can't go for them in this match.

They're beatable, I think we have a decent shot.

Hope we kick some cowboy Butt. I don't understand how people don't support the Broncos because we aren't playing well. That's not a true supporter imo. I do get that you get frustrated when we are playing crap but I'd never support anyone else just because we played badly or don't have a chance of winning. That's not a true supporter. That's being a turn coat ... I hate the Cowboys and Titans and I'm a qlder thru and thru!
