Blew them off the park it should have been 3-0. That was the best they've looked imo and the stats said it all, most amount of shots conceded and least possession a Pep team has had in a very very long time.


Don't be like that. Arsenal have ridden their luck plenty this season. That sort of result has been coming.

I thought they were good against a side missing a lot of talent.

I've got money on Liverpool winning 3.5 goals or more, Salah and Gakpo AGS, only one team to score and both Gakpo and Salah having a shot on target.

Should have been flogged. Liverpools own fans were even starting to boo them. Felt like they kept attacking the wrong side and Varane/Shaw frustrated them. Dalot/Evans were our weak links in the back 4 and don't think they targeted them enough.

Dalot was decent I thought, Diaz had a poor game and wasn't helped by Tsimikas. Darwin struggled too. Alisson was probably our MOTM.

A poor result for us given the dominance in possession and shots but I was pretty confident all week that would be a tougher game than it looked on paper. Well done again on the win

Not getting carried away with a cup game but jeez that was an impressive response from Liverpool.

Some really big takeaways:
- Darwin LW and hugely effective
- Gakpo really good in the false 9, should be his position moving forward
- Elliott MoTM at RW, massive given Salah goes for AFCON soon
- Jones should start v Arsenal
- Szoboslai much better
- Quansah continues to look great
