FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

Come on Ten Hag, we need some fresh legs on there.

Napoli are the champions of Italy and that's what makes it worth it as a fan of Napoli.

For so many years we battled away, played second fiddle to Juventus and at times barely qualified for Europa League but this is what makes it worth it. What a team, what a clinic the recruitment department have put on. In a time where you got clubs wheeling and dealing with huge offers to poach the best, we went and scouted a few players who will undeniably go for at least 10 times the price we bought them for. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia can legitimately go for anything. Kim-Min Jae, same situation. We paid 80 mill for Victor Osimhen and it's near on impossible to not see the club turning a profit on that deal too.

All of those signings on players who were relatively unheard of while losing players like Dries Mertens, Lorenzo Insigne, Kalidou Koulibaly and Fabian Ruiz (these were all regular starters at the club) and here we are as the champion not even a year on after losing the bulk of the players I just mentioned. Absolutely incredible. First time in 33 years. Maradona would be watching on from above with a little smile across his face.

UCL, we finished a bit earlier than we would have liked but still a great achievement, that's the best Napoli has done in terms of UCL. If the club can keep them together, who knows what happens next year. I know how it works. The oilers will be having a look however De Laurentiis isn't an easy man to negotiate with, historically.

Important game coming up for Man United.

Taking on West Ham at their home, it's crucial they come away with a win with Liverpool closing the gap. They have two games in hand so it's important they take advantage of that to increase that gap.

Excited to see Garnacho make his return.

Goddamn it.

United again having two open shots at goal but putting them wide. They need to turn these into goals.

How in the world did De Gea let that shot in? Kind of 'save' you'd expect from someone match fixing haha.

The fucker slipped when he was diving. You can see his left foot slip in the reverse shot on the slow-mo. Only a small one, but it was enough.

That's De Gea. He can be a world class GK some games coming up with some awesome saves. He's saved our asses a few times this season. But then in the other games he'll do stuff like that..

Newcastle making hard work of this game against Dirty Leeds. United and Liverpool have great chances this weekend to put more pressure on them. I'd like to think Wolves can beat the red scum of manchester, but i think the effort we have expended emotionally from staying up this season will see us take our foot off the gas in the next few games. Just cant see a win sadly.

They have been playing a bit frantic, just need to calm it down a bit, play patient.

Most importantly, don't clock off. Wolves are quite capable of making you pay for that.

Good to see Varane back.

That allows us to move Shaw to his preferred position where he's better suited for us.

What are you doing Antony?

3 on 1 and you do that...

Decent first half from Man United.

The amount of chances they have had, they should be winning by more than one goal. Antony unfortunately fucking up a couple of golden chances.

Hopefully they fix their execution in the second half. They have to win this.

***** sake.

Wolves GK keeping them in it..

NO DON'T PUT MAGUIRE ON.

FOR ***** SAKE.

Garnacho on.

Come on boy. Work your magic.

Good save Bentley.

He had to get that right with Weghorst right there waiting for the rebound.
