FOOTBALL English Premier League 23/24 Discussion

Like, this is a professional footballer, on hundreds of thousands a week, and he can't figure out how to tap this in?

There is just so many players that can **** off. Zirkzee's hold up was better today at least. He was miles clear of Hojlund.

Zirkee, De Ligt and Yoro for almost 150 million pounds between them is shocking business. Two are terrible defenders and one is a striker who looks lost in the premier league.

For a club as big as United, the amount of signings they constantly get wrong is incredible. Ineos really should be spending their money in their football department and getting that right first before anything. The trouble they went to get Ashworth and then bin him off so quickly makes me think Ratcliffe doesnt have a clue what he is doing running a football club.

De Ligt is not terrible, that's ridiculous. Yoro might be, but he is young so alot can change.

Overpriced, overpaid, absolutely. But De Ligt has not been terrible for United at all.

United transfers are a joke, I'm not disagreeing. The processes, the fees paid, the wages paid, all of it.

And until that is sorted, the club will never progress. But that doesn't mean all the players brought in are terrible.

Charges announced as all dropped in 3...2...1...

Or, they're going to start locking players down on huge money, long term for the instant yoyo back, or a transfer ban.

Big money spent in Jan, Pep deal, Haaland deal, seems they know something.

The only player i think who has been good value for money in recent years has been Diallo, then probably Fernandes, but they were both 4 or 5 years ago now. Ugarte tbf has been solid.

I think he's been poor for such an experienced defender. I thought he was terrific at Ajax, but he seems to me the type of player who will never reach the heights expected from him.

Yoro looks way out of his depth and the price they paid was ridiculous because they felt they needed to go big because other clubs were sniffing around. I feel a bit sorry for him because he shouldnt be in the team right now, and he's not getting much help from the more experienced defenders around him.

I can see the charges not sticking tbh. If Chelsea can get away with things like selling their womens team for about $300 million to themselves on top of selling hotels and car parks they own to themselves and the premier league does not charge them i dont see what they can do to Citeh.

And this little group of clubs that had potential issues ( Villa, Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton and Forest ) that are selling players between themselves for inflated fees is a joke. Its clearly a rort. Forest for example were shopping around their 30 year old, 3rd choice keepers for about $14million before the start of the season. They sold him to Newcastle for $40 million, which is the most Newcastle have ever spent on a keeper. And he has played 45 mins of football all season.

FFP and PSR is supposed to be changing after this season, hopefully if they are going to implement it, it gets done with some actual teeth this time around.
