FOOTBALL English Premier League 25/26 Discussion

6 minutes between foul and penalty, clear goal-scoring opportunity with no attempt to play the ball and no red card given, allowing subs to be brought on. Foul on Cunha not called.

The officiating in a lot of games this season has been a cluster****.

Yep, they were all wrong calls, but all it would have done is taken a point or more off Brentford undeservingly.

Deserved to lose, and lost.

Players have given up again, and they are just as big a problem if not more than the manager, but they are absolutely not playing for the manager, he is making terrible positional selections, and the players with all their clear deficiencies should still be winning more than they lose, not the other way round.

Southgate playing a 4231 would suit the players at the club better and it would get more wins.

Its a horrific outcome, but it cant go on any further, yet again. Disgraceful.

Palace all over us atm. Lucky to not be more than 1 down at ht.

Yep, no complaints. Had our chances but palace were the better side.

Salah has been pretty ass so far this season, has he hit the wall?

Gutted we conceded so late but at least we are starting to look better. Andre is a beast. I cant see how we keep him beyond January, he's genuinely of the best pure numbers 6's in the game right now. Think playing for us he goes under the radar and is a bit underated.

Its always been a cluster****. Spurs realistically could have easily had 2 red cards and if the decisions were the other way around i can guarantee you at least one Wolves player would have got sent off. Officiating needs an overhaul and VAR needs to be sent back to the history books. Its wrecked the game.

Truthfully, If West Ham didnt bring in Nuno he would have been a perfect short term solution to get United stabilised and competitive again. If they had any sense though, they should be looking at Glasner. He's been outstanding for Palace and after losing his best player 2 years in a row. I think he's worked his way up in the game and is ready to take the next step.

Our entire attack has sucked. Slot needs to sort it out quickly, not liking these tactics at all.

Forest sack Ange already. Wild

Their board should sack themselves if they expected Ange to turn their fortunes around in just 8 games .... Without even having a transfer window to make changes

Club statement

“Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that after a series of disappointing results and performances, Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties as head coach with immediate effect,”

The club will make no further comment at this time.”

Was Ange ever the right coach for them?

Forest are a mid table club in EPL at best... I'd assume they needed a coach that is all about defence and attacking on the counter, but Ange is pretty well known as an all out attacking coach

It's as much on Ange as anyone TBH. He said he would wait for the right opportunity then signs on with Not Forest . According to Boza that squad was the opposite to how Ange likes to play.
Surely he should put his ego aside and go with the squad he has and make gradual changes.

EPL would have to be the hardest comp if you land at a mid-table team that doesn't spend money.

You'd want to start in the championship with them to get them playing the style you want and room to shape the squad.
