Excuses

Boyd and Macca for Ash Taylor, we need a halfback now more than ever.

so your solution is to get a half back that while talented ... costs $1 million dollars a season and crumble under the slightest bit of pressure.

we don't actually need a halfback ... we just need to get them back from injury

I liked the bring someone from the outside the 17 in with a license to injure Cam Smith idea.

But we trade in 1.25m, is that not saving .25m
Dearden is talented but has done zilch in the games he's played, he might peak with few more games experience off the bench.

Ash Taylor hasn't done much more and has not only played in many more games ... but is on a way bigger contract ... no thanks

when your team isn't mentally tough, you don't rectify that by bringing in a highly paid mentally weak player

besides, you wouldn't save that .25m because you would need to replace one of the two in the top 30 (the other obviously being replaced by Ash)

Ash would only be worth a punt on about 350k a year right now. His stock has fallen massively.

That's Bounty gate shades of thinking.

I don't like it. Leave the grubbiness upto the grubs. I want to legitimately defeat the prick.

Absolutely, which means that the Titans are stuck with him, because no club will pay anywhere near what he is on and the Titans can't afford to contribute the amount that they would have to get rid of him. Absent him hitting a purple patch of form, he is there for the duration.

Talk about the way to stuff your career.

We just got our arses handed over to us by the Storm, who relentlessly exploited our leaky right side defense.
Solution:
Get rid of our best backrower and the only guy who has shown the ability to plug the leaks, because he has had a disrupted injury season...

I want to do both. Run rings around him legally then when we're fifty up smash him in the back and point to the scoreboard. It's only 1% of the karma he's owed but it'd be a fine start.
