It's mirror time for Ezra. He has been a shadow of the player we know he can be for over a year. Even during the run of wins late last year that led to the title, his role in it was.....Pretty mid? If my memory isn't failing me. Comfortably overshadowed by Walsh, if nothing else. The only thing that springs to mind is the great covering tackle in the GF when Melbourne made the break.

Mam needs an attitude adjustment and to get his body right. He's been a bit banged up by the looks of it. He could probably grow up a little bit too. There's a really good player in him if he wants it enough.

Nah pretty shit take. Mam even blamed the car crash on the racist incident…...which happened like a year after it. Personally if a white guy called me a honkey or a cracker I wouldn’t take offence to it, I’d probably laugh.

My bad, it was a journo that did that. Retract comment. Still I don’t think it should have hurt him as much as it did. In my day we had thicker skin. Was a non-event imo.

I can honestly say that I never knew monkey/ape was a racist term until the Adam Goodes incident with a 13 yr old girl who then was ostracised and became the face of racism in Australia.
When channel 9’s Eddie Maguire did it a week or 2 later though it was labelled a “gaffe” and nobody cared less, he was excused by his mates in the media. The 13 yr old girl copped all the shit for it.
Spencer Leniu claimed he had no idea either….make of it what you will.

I don't know about the Goodes one ... but there was "Monkeygate" in the cricket well before the Leniu-Mam incident.

Iirc his excuse was he was saying an Indian word that meant something else and Tendulkar testified in his favour.
To me it’s akin to snoop dog calling Tupac the n word….they do it all the time.
