Favourite Non-Memorable Broncos Moments

Brisbane Broncos piling on 54 points in the second half after being down 14-6 to a dismal Parramatta Eels side, Wayne Bennett must have had some choice words at halftime. Also of note was the debut of Darren Lockyer from the bench in the same match.

Petero punching on with Bryce Gibbs.

His comments on the incident after the game just summed Petero up for me. Someone asked him about it and for some odd reason asked him what he would tell kids about the incident (or something of that nature)

"...sometimes you have to stick up for your mates.."

Big Petero. Champion of a human.

Man, in 2001 when I was 10/11, my cousin sent me a Broncos showbag down from Brissie.

As a young fella who absolutely adored the Broncos, this was pretty fucking awesome. Was a solid showbag too - got a Broncos footy, Broncos backpack, poster and a couple of other things I can't recall. Still have the backpack!

Lockyer against the Bulldogs in Round 25, 2008.

He came up with one of the most hilarious mistakes I have ever seen from him. He got the ball, he juggled it a bit before gaining control and then the ball just slipped out of his hands as he tried to throw a pass. It went about 5 metres forward.

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw it.

That first GF that the Broncos were involved in. Obviously memorable, but I remember the Courier Mail etc got right behind it and had deals and vouchers printed on one of the pages of the paper. Hot dogs, pies, slurpees etc on the cheap from 7-11.

I was just watching the 1994 semi against Manly, and I thought the Renouf try was something spectacular. I put it here because it's not exactly one that's mentioned when Broncos fans talk about Renouf tries.

Manly were putting Broncos under the pump and Broncos were desperately defending their line, then from a scrum Renouf gets the ball and gets on the outside of his opposite and runs 80 metres to score first points of the game and give the Broncos a much needed boost after a lot of defending.

Broncos won that game 16-4.

Lols I that was dumb, I guess a favorite moment would be when we thumped the knights 71-6 a while ago... Oh and am I right in saying that Lockyer once pulled off a 40-20 grubber?

26 tackles the Broncos defended for then Renouf dusts up Hill down the left from the scrum.

I'm bringing this thread back to life.

The Round 2 2009 victory against the Storm. And the try Folau scored.

Whenever people talk about victories against the Storm or tries Folau scored, they never mention Round 2 2009. It's like people have just completely forgot about it.

That was probably the best game I've seen between these two, it was very similar to the 2008 game. Broncos took the lead and had to defend like their life depended on it.. The determination from the Broncos to hold the Storm out when they were throwing everything they had at them was unbelievable. And Broncos got their payback after the heartbreaking loss in the Semi Final the year before.

Wallace was like a pitbull in defense that night. He had a good game. A lot of people criticize him, but he was quite good for us in 2008 and the first half of 2009.

And if I remember correctly, Lockyer played a bit of fullback in that game and did a good job.

It was a controversial game, but it was a bloody great game.
