I would have thought that when it comes to surgery, clubs would generally be using the same surgeons. If a sports person needs an ankle done, there's a certain guy you see. Same for knee ops and so on. So I'd have assumed Fifita would see the same surgeon regardless of which club he's referred from.

I'm sure there would be issues associated with player welfare, but I wonder if the titans would want to run the risk of letting his previous club handle the surgery??

You'd think they would want their own diagnosis, their own specialist and then to get him straight into their own rehab group.

Can they afford that after their recent spending spree? Or does the nrl help them out with that too?

I didn't wish injury on the guy, and I'm not celebrating that this has happened.
But I'm equally not upset by it.

Why do posters assign thoughts to players based on the value OTHERS think he is worth? I've never heard Fifita describe himself as the greatest nor has he acted as though he was. Very strange.

There is no joy to be gained from Fifita being injured and needing surgery. I'm not interested in burning bridges and being spiteful as successful people well know, it might make you feel a little better short term, but it doesn't really help you out in the long run.

If his Broncos career is done (for now) then so be it, but he's still a Queenslander and the Maroons need every bit of help they can get, so I for one absolutely hope he gets back on the field and back to his absolute best ASAP because I'll be fucked if I'm watching us drop another series in a row.

I'm also more than happy to throw the door open if he gets back to his best and wants to come back some day. Justin Hodges did it and he went on to become a club legend and was almost a Premiership winning Captain. Holding grudges and being bitter is a waste of time in the professional world and we should look at Fifita objectively like any other talented guy on the market going forward.
