PRE-GAME [Finals Week 1, 2023] - Broncos v Storm

for 14 games we tried to out-Storm the Storm in a conservative and discipline focused grind. The only teams that trouble them are teams that are willing to test their edges and play an up tempo unpredictable brand of attack. No one is better at that than us this season. We will flog them

The only concern is that Belly has an incredible track record of extinguishing the latest red hot fullback. 2009 they completely shut down Hayne. 2012 they completely shut down Barba. 2021 they completely shut down Trbo. We need to go into the game with the expectation that Walsh won’t have a chance to make an impact.

The thing I’m most nervous about is Reynolds slotting over the goal kicks.
 
Our completion rate over the past month is a massive concern.

We can't complete below 80% in a finals game against the Storm and expect a win. We've gotten away with it quite a bit this year, but finals is a whole different ball game. In the past month (not including Round 27) we've consistently completed below 80% whereas Storm have consistently completed above 80%.

We need limit the errors and complete our sets. We can't make stupid mistakes.
 
One of the biggest factors in any NRL game is the amount of noise the crowd makes. Unfortunately Lang Park crowds at broncos games are renowned pussy cats and let the ref away with murder.

They really need to bring their supporters' voice to the game tonight. They need to really want this win and their noise has to reflect that want.

Hopefully they deliver as they did last year when Hass pulled that silly crap.
