Just watching the replay now and good god the physicality of everything we did is amazing. Kick chase on bombs was aggressive.

Staggs was epic in defence, every tackle he made looked like it hurt the opposition.

It’s strange to say after winning 26-0, but it still wasn’t close to a perfect performance. We still made a lot of unforced errors, particularly with play the ball errors (3 from memory) and a few balls just dropped cold with no one around.

As the game went on though I think we grew in confidence that we could defend those errors.

Good chance I watch this replay at least 2 more times today.

It was a game where their spoiling tactics and grubbery nullified Walsh and Mam. We needed to go to Plan B where we needed to dominate in the middle. Our forwards were immense.

Crowd at Suncorp was fantastic. 50, 197 I think. The lightning and thunder just before kickoff was ominous but the Broncs looked great.

The roar for Walah, Ezra, Staggs, Reynolds, Ricki, and Patty was immense. Payne wasn’t far behind, but he WAS behind…

Special mention to Jessie Arthurs. He got a surprisingly loud roar for one of the ‘lesser’ lights.

The game was fantastic. Sat beside a bunch of mopey Storm fans and gave them shit about their team and tactics and the score all night.

Caxton must have been pumping because the line up was so long I skipped it and went straight to the pizza joint (whatever the new name is New York Pizzas seems to have died…) and watched the Fox Minis at Hotel LA…

Just got in the door now and have to work at 6a! Lol

Good job boys. Onto the Prelim!

Night! 🤣
Thought the same for Arthars! I think it’s because he’s really, really, ridiculously good looking

There was a good interview with Lee Briers on the Roar where he said that Walsh in particular and the team in general have been given the freedom to make mistakes because they have the confidence to defend them.

You Shouldnt Have Ben Stiller GIF

What a strange feeling it was to have the Melbourne Storm attacking our line while thinking that we'll probably hold them out here or force an error. This team is different.

My favourite moment was the Storm hyping each other up like they'd won a GF for forcing a line drop out and Reynolds just belts it into touch 50m out.

So many teams have been "off" when they've played us this year according to the pundits and the same old story is being repeated after last night. "Storm were off, Storm were clunky etc. etc."

I wonder if they'll ever figure it out.
The media and other teams still see us as the Seibold coached team. They’re waiting for us to implode and falter like we did in those dark days. The storm probably thought it’d happen automatically last night.

We’re a different beast this year. Interestingly, I only saw Nathan Cleary say it this week.

I love how it's CLEAR SKY, NO STORM
today. Few too many last night and it felt WEIRD with that win. The Patty is just starting🐴😉

Love how fit we are too. There were a few years where being in front wasn't comforting in the slightest. Now we go into the sheds up 8-0 and you could almost put your house on it. We are running over the top of teams and how good is it when Haas runs back on to finish the job.

I cant believe how good kevie has done. He needs to repeat it twice more but think how far away from that we were when we started. Two players at the start of the season questioned his coaching and journalists were predicting his sacking. He stayed calm with nerves of steel and now we have a team with that attitude running out.
When they mobbed carrigan after his first try i felt this team was going o be special. They put that defence on and no one (including penrith) is getting through. They play for each other and defend every mistake (they do make a few though). 2023 might be our year.
