I'm not sure Wallace is the issue tbh. Hes not overly creative, but there is a lot of good to his game.
The captaincy isn't an issue IMO. The whole team has been ****ed and it wouldn't have made a difference who was captaining. Well maybe if Lockyer was around things would have been different
I honestly believe Norman has either a huge ego problem, and/or he is just not very bright. He has talent - just doesn't know how to use it.
IMO, Hunt is not up to NRL top level.
Hunt is closer to nrl level than Norman. Norman is utterly hopeless.
Might carve a good niche in Queensland cup where you can find shit defenders occasionally. But he couldn't set up a break to save himself
I was disappointed with the political decision to appoint Thaiday as captain when I believed Parker was the best choice. I would have liked even Wallace as Captain although I expect no agreement on that. I believe Thaiday was appointed Captain for no better reason than his aboriginality. (new word)...I think this was to demonstrate to the world the inclusiveness of the Broncos. I have always preferred having the Captains role filled by someone who was on the field for the duration. I have no issue at all with aboriginal people to the point that one of my closest friends is aboriginal. Please do not accuse me of racism.
I just think that his race got him the nod (not to mention he is funny and very likeable). I just don't think he is a leader of men. I want to see Norman free of the groin injury and older and wiser in the new year before I condemn him to Q cup. I haven't lost faith in the current crop and think they will hit the ground running next year. 2013 cannot come quick enough.

He'd even struggle there I reckon. As a Redcliffe fan I wouldn't drop either of the halves or fullback to accommodate him.
TBH i think race has absolutely nothing to do with thaiday being captain. I think thaiday is more 'media friendly' than Parker and I think thaiday said I want the captaincy or I will look around at my options. I really think it is no coincidence that the announcement of him as captain and him signing a new contract came at the same time.
