I definitely don't. He was the man last year, I was even saying I was fine with Locky retiring because I thought Hoffman had overtaken him as our best player, and this yr, I thought he would have the same season that Ben barba was having. But hes been absolute Trash.

Unfortunately you're correct. I cant defend Hoffman anymore after tonights effort, but It's not over yet.

40ish % possession and 21 missed tackles

Hoffman's a great player. Anyone who think's he's not a fantastic attacking player needs their membership here cancelled as their opinion is clearly uninformed and degrades discussion. Injury has wrecked his back end of the season - it happens.

Mate I admire your support of Hoff but really he has been rubbish for a long time now, he may have been a great player in the past, he may come good again next year, but his form is total crap.

Correct.

Norman and Hoffman are the difference tonight.
Norman and Hoffman have nothing to do with Scott (106m) and Tamou (147m) dominating.

The problems are deeper than some crap errors.

Pete is bringing up a bullshit argument because he's clearly wrong. Please show me where I have ever said that Hoffman was never good. I said he's absolute rubbish which right now he is the worst fullback in the game.

Maybe moltzen is worse but not by much.

I'd love to swap Norman for Moltzen ATM.

The let's not rewrite history he's never been good for us argument and having short memories. I never spoke about the past or him always being a bad player. You brought that up as if to say that makes him good now.

I didn't bring up the past, Alec did. I just gave him the answer which apparently troubled you.

It wasn't about defending a player. It was about keeping everyone honest.

Nothing in the Broncos play is NRL standard let alone finals standard. Out muscled, out played, out classed. I am very fearful of next year...

You've contradicted yourself here champ - great at returning kicks, bad attacking player? Onya'.

Not a contradiction at all. Unless you can remember a large number of kicks that Hoffman has been fielding inside the opponent's 20m line.

The fact that you have resorted to trying make kick returns part of the attacking game only goes to show how little evidence there is to support the idea that Hoffman adds value in attack.

Carn boys! Result doesn't really matter at this point, just play some footy.

He's hardly been 'rubbish for a long time now'. Hoffman was one of our best this year until he did his sternum - he's struggled since. It takes a bit of perspective before canning a player. Why are they playing poorly? Have they always been this bad or are there extenuating physical, mental or off-field issues? He's playing poorly, yes. However it's explainable. Sternum injuries are up there with rib cartilage injuries in terms of pain.

Just because he has a debilitating injury that doesn't suddenly make him a poor player. He'll be fine after a good rest.

That would be nice Pete,. I think the half time talk was something like, keep up the effort boys, stick with the plan, when we get the ball just run hard towards the sticks at the other end.

Cowboys have conceded a lot of points in bunches at times this year. Our chances aren't great but a quick try after half-time and we aren't completely out of it. Hopefully T'eo can have another great performance and ignite something.

Get the negative vibes out of here.

Carn boys!

Was it Hoffman who was related to Gagai?

Sick of watching Thaiday walking around with his head down.

Maybe he has an injury, but he is on the field isn't he?. You can't play crap for the last 9 weeks and use injury as an excuse.
If injury is the reason for his form then the coaching staff should not be picking him knowing he can't do the job.
