Finals Week 1

I think this show is poor. All ex-players. Robert Craddock is a great addition on the Fox show. Fox have made their shows a lot more watchable this year by having journos come on.

Who said anything about going to war - there's a massive difference between discussing opinions and what you've suggested.
What people fail to recognise is that RL has put itself in the position where there are so many rules and even more interpretations of said rules that the adjudication of such is simply setup to fail.
AFL, soccer and even cricket have a core set of rules which allow less margin for error when it comes to officiating.
However, RL and even worse, union, have so many rules and / or interpretations you need either a PHD in Law or the flip of a coin to be confident in knowing which way it'll be handled game-to-game.

PS. Wright should have absolutely been binned, I couldn't believe nothing was said about it by anyone.

Are you not on twitter? It is full of people crying that there are various conspiracies going on - games are fixed. AKA going nuclear on every decision.

I like Craddock but he's a cricket guy and he doesn't add a lot to the show.

He struggles to get his facts straight.

Regardless, it's nice to see more footy related content on tv.

Most of the coverage is not brutally honest for me. People scared to say what they think as they have other connections to the game. I've liked Justin Hodges work this year though. One bloke who is not scared to give an honest opinion.

Most of Craddock's time consists of asking a question, agreeing with what everyone is saying and having a dig at Kevvie's lack of eyebrows with Hodgo or having a dig at Mal. And occasionally having a slight dig at Bennett without getting his facts right.

I like hosts that actually have an opinion, that are more than willing to share it and aren't afraid to hold back or go against the grain.

Craddock doesn't strike me as that kind of host.

Like I said, Craddock is a cricket guy. He's a great journo and that gets him by but I like hosts who know what they're talking about and aren't afraid to challenge or ask tough questions from their panel.

I agree that Hodgo has been good value. I thought Tate was pretty decent on today's show even though there were times where he was just cheerleading the Cowboys. I thought his points on the Broncos performance were spot on.

His response to the Tallis question was interesting. It seemed like a knee jerk reaction and he had to rationalise it on the spot. The reason he was looking for was that in 2008 Tallis had the opportunity to deliver Bennett to the Cowboys and let his own bias stand in the way of the club's needs.

No I'm not - shocking I know.
Regardless, the point still stands.
The NRL needs to get rid of the clauses, upon clauses, upon clauses with the added sub-clauses, sub-sub-clauses and then interpretations on top. It's far too complicated and as I mentioned, it sets the refs up to fail.
When they inevitably do, I completely understand fans being frustrated and moreover, believe they're entitled to be. Without fans, there is no revenue and no game.
The administrators will never get it right, but they've done a good job getting it horribly wrong at times over the last decade or so.

Anyway, our opinions don't align so this is a pointless discussion with no real outcome in sight.
I'd rather discuss something else.

With Graham and Bird back, the Sharks should be too strong for the Cowboys.

The opening exchanges will be crucial.

They also showed a replay of the Radradra try in the first game and the pass from Ma'u definitely wasn't forward.

It looked a tad forward on the broadcast camera, but angles can be deceiving.

Just looking at Jack Bird warming up, he looks like he is carrying a bit of timber around his middle.
