Locky can handle Foran, but I think you severely underestimate the Dragons defense on Saturday. We would've put 30 on any other team imo, including Manly and Storm!

I've never been a fan of backrowers in the halves, no matter how talented they may be, and Gillett definitely is, but the more I think about it, the more I'd probably go with Griffin's choice in this case, as it's a scary thought to have Norman covering a right side with Foran, Tony Williams, Matai and Hopoate on the opposite side... And I agree the Macca/Hunt combo shouldn't be disturbed at this time.

Gillett is a good ball runner, but he's not someone who organises the attack. He'll just be running the ball. Without structure, we might as well just be the Parra Eels. If Locky doesn't play, we need to risk having someone in the halves who knows what he's doing.

I have faith in whatever griffin decides if locky is ruled out. He has turned our team into one that doesn't rely on anyone player and a team that can grind or just blow teams away. In hook I trust.

We do not really know what Gillett is capable of - yet, except those moments of sheer brilliance, and his amazingly agile and effective defence. For all we know he has a passing game 2nd to none and can kick with the best of them. He played at least as a season at 5/8 so he is not exactly a genetically engineered back rower. He needs chances. Lots of them. He is something special, whether he cuts it at 5/8 or stays in the back row.

It's more than just about passing or kicking though. You've got be in sync with the players on your side of the field, they have to at least know what you are doing. I really don't think Gillett is capable of that yet, and even if he might be, I think it's a bigger risk than having someone there who we know can do it. Defensively, yes, Norman might struggle...hell, he probably will struggle. On the other hand, Lockyer isn't exactly a master defender either.

Gillett would probably be more in sync with the first grade side than Norman. He's played and trained all season with them. I'm happy with either.

Well Corey Norman is scheduled to appear on the game plan this Thursday. If we are to read anything into that, it's that he definitely won't be playing.

Isn't it filmed in Sydney??

So maybe Hook is saying Gillett is playing, but it's actually Norman... but he's sending Norman down to be on The Game Plan... so nobody sees Norman travel down with the team... because he's already there!

Hahahaha who knows!!!!!!!!!!

There's no way Norman would he going on air if he was stepping into Lockyer's shoes in a prelim..

Unless... he's going on air to announce that he IS taking Lockyers place... only for Lockyer to play! MINDGAMES.

So what's with all the conflicting reports on Lockyer? One doctor says he doesn't risk permanent injury (or at least any more than usual, I assume), and another doctor says he could lose his eyesight.

The Dr who said he could lose his eyesight is Dr Nathan Gibbs, who used to be the Dr for Manly.

He is also the Dr that said Joey could die if he played in the 1997 GF with a punctured lung.

Both times the players were playing against Manly.

Very interesting Kaz.

He's also the same Doctor that made Wally Lewis' "Burn in hell" list when he ruled him out of a Kangaroo tour with a broken arm. Think he was ARL doc at the time. Oh, and he also played for lol@50uffs.

For what it's worth, Locky's been named at five-eighth.

Thaiday is back in the second row with Te'o on the bench and Hala 18th man.

Would it be a possibility to have Locky back at Fullback defensivley and up in the line for attack????
