Would it be a possibility to have Locky back at Fullback defensivley and up in the line for attack????

I very much doubt Hook (or Locky) would want to make drastic changes to the defensive structure like that. Besides, on kick returns or bombs he'd then be at the mercy of the kick chase team. Probably worse than the front line, although obviously less often.

I must admit i also thought about this ..... but deemed it too unsettling to the team.

The best course of action would be for Locky to jusy not play if he's going to be a liability .... as unimaginable as it sounds

Meh. He'll be fine up the front. His minder usually hits the ball carrier first, most of Locky's tackles are wrapping up the arms and bringing him down.

If Hunt is going to start next year than have him slip into the 6/7 if anything happens to Locky during the game no big deal.

Interestingly we (Manly) just named a 5 man bench, I wonder who is under an injury cloud?

Probably nobody, but they didn't want to travel overseas without a backup :P

So lucky will be heading off for his drive to Sydney soon. Isn't there a train he could catch??

The Dr who said he could lose his eyesight is Dr Nathan Gibbs, who used to be the Dr for Manly.

He is also the Dr that said Joey could die if he played in the 1997 GF with a punctured lung.

Both times the players were playing against Manly.

Pretty sure he is also the Dr who ruled the great Wally Lewis out of a Kangaroo tour and stopped him from breaking all sorts of records of the time held by NSW scummers.

Remember Round 12 without Locky, Hodges, Thaiday (and if I recall, Te'o went down?). We were on top in the first half and but for a run away in the end by Manly we were very competitive.

Three weeks ago we were in 3rd gear against a largely unchanged Manly pack.

The trick to this game will be Brisbane absolutely smashing Manly all night. The key difference will be us getting on top of Foran and DCE and McCullough and Wallace using smart 5th tackle kicking options.

Locky back for the GF!! Bring on the Storm.

The flipside is that I'm PO'd that for the 3rd final series in a row we've had a key injury.

It's a perfect platform for the 2012+. Locky, he's brought you so far, now it's your turn to take responsibility for your own destiny.

as posted in the other thread i've got full faith in the TEAM we have. after getting over that lockyer won't play i really we are a real good chance of winning.

Of course we are. Motivation won't be a problem. Commitment won't be a problem. Attitude won't be a problem. And we know the 17 guys that play will all do their jobs well. If they play like they did last week, there's no reason at all they can't win.
