Two weeks to go until the 'Gabba Test.

Burns and Khawaja didn’t do enough yet but will have two days of a Shield game next week before the side is picked and the warm up game v Nz this weekend.

Bancroft firming as Rogers replacement, Voges keeps his spot? Burns will need a big first innings next week.

Otherwise I am expecting for the 'Gabba.

Warner, Bancroft, Khawaja, Smith, Voges, M.Marsh, Nevill, Johnson, Starc, Hazlewood, Lyon and Siddle.

Will Warner be fit in time?

Hope they pick Siddle need his consistency

Good to see a decent season from Bancroft will get him a baggygreen. It'll be exciting to watch Shaun Marsh nick it to slip like usually and still maintain his spot in the side. He is the new Shane Watson.

I agree with you on Marsh.

27 Test innings, 7 ducks which is close to a quarter.
12 times caught.
5 caught behind.

17/27 caught.

Bancroft is benefiting from the current situation where they are looking to blood a young player and he has runs. If we were stronger then he'd have to perform for longer.

I'm happy to see Bancroft get blooded but I'm very disappointed that Burns will likely be overlooked for Marsh.

It's really part of being a bowler these days if you ask me. Lower order batsmen take batting a lot more seriously these days.

Burns 59
Bancroft 42

CA 0/107

Solid start.

Joe Burns with 102 retired out against the Kiwis this morning.
