10 seconds, that’s harsh. This is Norris’s to lose now. They seem like a penalty to advantage the British driver in Britain.
 
Unnecessary move by oscar, but 10 seconds? Particularly when George did it earlier in the season with no word, not even being noted by the stewards.

Happy for hulk though with his first podium, and with a Sauber!
 
I reckon you could even argue it’s all just bad timing. The safety car gets called to end, Oscar is doing what he can to keep his tyres warm as everyone does and just happens to be doing one as the safety car takes off. The safety car is still visible when he breaks.

All of this you could definitely understand even 5 seconds but 10 felt a bit of a gift to make Norris win. Sucks for Oscar too because he had a 15 second lead prior to the first or second safety car. He’s got a bit of time to think about it anyway.

Yeah I do too. I don’t think it was deliberate though, I think it was a series of unfortunate timings but even so, to the letter of the law, he did slow down when he shouldn’t have.

Sucks that Max spun though because I think even with the overly harsh penalty, Max would have held Norris up enough to let Oscar still get the win.

It was a sum of all disappointing possibilities coming together again for Oscar. The luck has to turn at some point surely.

I don't know, there was a bit of friction between horner and the verstappen crew recently. It may have been a move to keep Max at redbull?

However, I don't think it will necessarily affect Max's decision. Max will do what he wants.

I personally think he will want to prove himself in another car.
 
So...can someone explain to me again why Doohan got punted for Colapinto? And why Colapinto is still in the seat?

Yeah, I hope he gets another shot with another team. He’s way better than this colapinto kid.
 
Also...how far in front was Oscar in the end. Its his to lose based on that.
 
Race start abandoned. I get its also down to visibility but gotta wonder why we bother with a wet tyre these days, they never use them. The tyre exists for this very reason...
