Four Nations - Australia vs Samoa - LIVE Discussion (WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS)

Australia knock on in their 20..

Samoa on the attack. This could get interesting..

That was a bad choice from Simona..

Papalii scored.

Several defenders tried bringing him down, and he just reached out and scored.

38-18

Mansour runs down the sideline and scores untouched..

That was fucking bizarre!

42-18

Full Time

Australia 44-18 Samoa

Missed the game, was there much in it between Mcguire and Parker ??

Not much.

McGuire had his arm around his throat and Parker got up and gave him a bit of a shove. They both laughed it off afterwards.

Discipline certainly let Samoa down today.

DId Thaiday get hooked early on? God, he's hopeless.

Cordner is just a massive bag of dicks. Has to be one of the most over rated players currently

BJ was one of the worst offenders.

Penalty after penalty.

It was a massive contrast from his game last week. He was very poor today he also made some very poor attempts at tackling and he dropped the ball non stop.

I tuned out at HT.

The fact Australia held a comfortable 22 point lead and it wasn't live just kept me from watching the rest of the game. I decided to click into here, see if it was worth sticking around and went onto do something more productive with my time.

I'll save my full thoughts for the replay but based on what I saw, GI was having an absolute field day & Leilua had an unhappy finish to an otherwise strong tournament.

Same, I stopped watching after half time, it was just a complete mismatch. I'm looking forward to the final, the Kiwis are unbeaten this tournament but I'm tipping Australia to win 1-12

Parker gifted one of Inglis' try. He was over the line when he passed and looked like he was going to score but did a Parker offload to Inglis to ensure the points were scored.
I don't think Parker was happy at all with Moose putting the forearm into his throat. Moose was smiling afterwards but Parker didn't look happy and was rubbing his throat when he walked away. I kept an eye on him but Parker didn't retaliate at any point in the game.
Cherry Evans totally blew a kick and some passing but then made up for it somewhat with a 60m? try.
I didn't really notice much after that.
Cameron Smith: not much to say other than he shouldn't have reached for McGuires arm. He deserved that penaly against him.
Klemmer justified his spot in the side and I was impressed with Papali. He showed great strength to place that ball on the line considering who he had to get past. He had a few other good runs too.
Hunt was mostly defending during his time in the game. Didn't help that Cordner couldn't catch the ball when he ran off Hunt. The first pass was completely Cordners fault. The second Cordner knock on was up at his shoulder height. I'm not sure if Hunt was passing it to Cordner or someone out wider.
It was good to see the big Samoan guy spill his lollies when he tried to dummy then steamroll Hunt. Hunt cleaned him up.

It was a far tighter contest after halftime and Samoa put up a pretty solid performance after the break. I get your point though as their performance was an anti-climax after their 2 earlier games.

The game was effectively over by that point.

Klemmer justified his selection. He was very solid and, IMO, better than Woods. Happy to retract my previous criticism of him being in the side....although my criticism was mainly directed at Sheens for not going with experience considering who we were missing up front. Will play for NSW next year.
