Yeah that's fair. I signed up through a kiosk at a shopping centre just before Christmas and got all the set up/ box for free. Also when I was a young unemployable fella I did a bit of door to door (sorry) for Austar and they generally had first 6 months free or upfront costs waived so there's probably value available somewhere.

I found the HD package affordable when I had it. Extra $15 a month. That's all I had to pay.

IIRC, the box and installation was free. All I had to do was pay an extra $15 for the package.

And the HD is just beautiful. Once you watch footy in HD, you will never want to go back to SD.
